Hello all. I have just seen Julia's FB post and realised it's Wed. πŸ˜€

Just said goodbye to our eldest and his family. They arrived Boxing Day - Christmas Day was spent  with youngest son and family and then we spent lots of time all  together. It has been magical. Lots of food πŸ˜‹ some alcohol may have been consumed πŸ˜‚. Games played.  Three eldest popped into B.ham yesterday. The sons did a bit of car tinkering ( putting dash cam into Matthew's car :-))  and had a drink together and put world to rights. Sarah (D.I.L.) took youngest granddaughter to some shops so she didn't feel left out. I didn't want to go to shops!!!

Graham read his book and dropped off. Carolynn (D.I.L. ) and I went to Garden Centre to buy a plant for mum's grave, had to have a coffee  there πŸ˜„ and then went to visit a lady who comes to my class, lives alone and is 86. Loves crafting.

Last night we went out for tea altogether. We felt quite safe in the area they put us.  It has been wonderful, feel

so blessed.

My crafting space was cleared as need big table for them all. House now seems much bigger and very quiet ☹ Hopefully see them all again soon.

Happy New Year All. Xxx

  4. Anne what a fab post, full of love and family. So lovely of you to visit a solo too, I bet she was thrilled to see you both. I know what you mean about big and empty feeling, it’s really strange, ours left on Boxing Day tea time when the whole fam was still here and by 7 everyone had gone and the silence was deafening! Love to you for a Happy New Year, wouldn’t it be amazing if things started righting themselves and we could arrange a meet!

  6. Lovely festive post Anne. We are having a quiet day today - not that we have done much other than entertain Ben for 2 days which was fun. I might even be tempted into my sewing room but it really needs a good post Xmas sort up and I'm just not in the mood. Happy New Year - let's hope we can meet up in 2022 - masked and tested if necessary! xxx Jo

  7. Lovely to hear that you had such a wonderful time with your family. Sam looks a lot my son - they all seem to look similar at that age with the same hair, clothes, body build, etc LOL! Wishing you a very happy 2022! xx zsuzsa #21
