WOYWW

Its been a busy two weeks since my last post one way and another. Have not been anywhere other than odd walk here and there. Chores and people popping by seem to be the order of most days. Ventured into the garden for short periods of time , attempting to tidy up here and there. Have crafted along with others Online. Cooked and sorted stuff out.

The main focus of my crafting has been cards for my S.I.L's 60th birthday and her's and my brother's Ruby Wedding Anniversary - both on 7th March. I also helped organise a cake.

They had socially distanced visits by two of their three sons and families. Obviously not at same time. There was  also an afternoon tea provided by their sons. So despite the current situation they did manage to enjoy their very special day.

Above my 'desk ' - as I left it Tuesday  evening.

Ooops the above is grandson Sam, back to school yesterday Tues)

Below eldest grandson Harry. He returned on Monday as did Phoebe, youngest granddaughter.

Eldest granddaughter , Ella returns on Friday.
Nothing much changed for us. Can go and meet a friend and sit on a bench now!

Will try and visit lots of desks this week. Why not join in? Click on woyww on side bar to find out more. Take care all.

  1. I’m so glad they had a lovely day of celebrations despite the COVID rules! The cards you made for them are wonderful, love the deep ruby reds of the anniversary card so much.
We’ve just been pottering in the house and garden too and are waiting to see what the First Minister says on Friday, I don’t think much is going to change tbh.

  3. Beautiful cards Anne! Very stylish, both of them. Your grandsons must be a similar age as my son. I first thought that was the same boy - they do look alike a lot - strapping young men! Wishing you a lovely week! xx zsuzsa #24

  4. What a gorgeous 60th card! I really love the pops of lime green against the purple. It's been lovely seeing all the young people going back to school, even if my son did go back yesterday without even saying goodbye to us! As always, stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #8

  6. Good morning... first off, gorgeous cards! So very elegant. Not sure who's kitchen those two are standing in but seriously envious here LOL I love my kitchen but I think I"d live in that one. Lots going on as always, I see. New catty releases to us in less than 2 months. Can't wait to see what's new! Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #32

  8. What absolutely beautiful cards, Anne, and so nice to see the grandkids posing for their photos in the identical spot! Your kitchen looks amazing... I would love a kitchen with an island and a fabulous skylight like that. I watch a lot of house programmes and always fall in love with the kitchen! Lovely big glass doors to let plenty of light in, too.

Thank you for your visit. I have to confess to being a bit of a kitchen machine junkie but believe me they all get used! I do a huge amount of food prep from scratch because I always like to know what goes in things, and the machines are great labour-savers. Actually I couldn't live without my Vitamix (high speed blender) - it's the biggest investment of them all but if you are going to be serious about whole-food plant-based, it's pretty much an essential machine. I hope you manage to get your crochet squares joined up. It's much more fun crocheting them together instead of sewing, especially if you find a nice pattern - I was delighted to find this one.

    Happy WOYWW,

  12. Well I hope school went smoothly for the grandchildren....they are looking terribly grown Anne! I say terribly, but really, that’s just me noticing that even lockdown doesn’t stop them growing! Your desk looks full of intention...I see a notebook and automatically think of to do lists. Is it my conscience?!! Really gorgeous cards for the celebrations, sounds asa though the best day in the circs was had, can’t ask for better than that, and it will remain memorable!

  17. Sorry I am so late this week - birthday got in the way of blog comments.
My word you have been lucky having visitors, we haven't had anyone call as yet, apart from the postie. Mind you the phone has been hot!
Lovely cards, I really do like the birthday card you made, I never think of doing them that shape and yet when I see one I always admire them - note to self - see Anne's blog. The Ruby Wedding card is lovely too - I always think the ruby colour looks good on a card.
Take care, maybe not too long before we can all meet up.
    Hugs, Neet xx
