WOYWW 452

Hi there. My word the week has just flown by! Thank you to all who visited last week, I did try to visit everyone who called by. Last Thursday I managed to go to hairdressers- I'd had to cancel previous appointment and as I have a short style it needs trimming regularly to keep it in shape, and the grey was showing. However I'm getting fed up with the whole hair colouring performance. Plus I could spend more on crafting :-)

I had my Class on Saturday. Eight lovely ladies and lots of fun. I took one of them, Thelma (who is 83 and said she wasn't going to start a new hobby - and bought a Big Shot ) for lunch afterwards. She said she had enjoyed her day very much. I was pleased. She lives on her own, her husband died some time ago now and they had no children. She has friends but as she says a lot of them are poorly and she does a lot of visiting of those who are now in care or hospital. She has a nephew - sees him but not frequently. She really enjoys coming to craft.

Had an easy day on Sunday. Yesterday and today I have been working on some items for my Great Nephew's Baptism. Hopefully share next week.

In my previous post you can see the table set up ready to craft last Saturday, and my little display. It looks a lot different today :-) not going to show you the rest of the table or room lol

Well that's it for this week. I will link up tomorrow with  Julia's Blog to have a snoop at desks around the world - such fun. Hope to see you there.

  1. I like hair natural and it sure does save money. You'd enjoy it! I think it's great that you teach the classes, it must really be nice for those with no family. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  4. Morning Anne. Teehee - it doesn't take long, does it, to turn the table from one thing to another!! Have a shed load of fun! Glad you made it to the hairdresser - I don't think I could be fussed about colouring my hair, so understand how you feel... when my red colour has gone, it will be gone, I'm afraid. I do tend to look now as though I have been left out in the rain and faded though!!!
    Take care. God bless.

  5. Hi Anne, Glad you managed to make it to the hairdressers. I keep mine short too and there's nothing worse than when it 'turns' too long which sometimes seems to be overnight. I think we can all imagine what the rest of the room looks like lol. We've all been there. Have a good week. Sarah #12

  6. Hi Anne, it's lovely to hear how much difference a craft class makes to some peoples lives. Hair colouring_ I may love having it 3 colours, but you can imagine how long that takes, lol. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX

  7. I tried going colour-free once but my hair was such an odd colour of red brown that I went back to having highlights! I bet your tutorials are great fun and how lovely that Thelma has something to enjoy and look forward to. You are kind!

  8. Love your cheerful workspace! I've been debating the coloring of the gray issue as well. It's hard to stop. I've gone 2 months now and have long hair. It looks well...you know. LOL
Have a great day!! ~Sandy from Texas #31

  10. How great to see that you have found time to craft for crafts’ sake, and really, the sight of your desk and your reluctance to show any more makes me know what it’s like!! I’m not allxover colouring my hair anymore. I don’t actually mind the grey, after all, it’s part of my story. It’s the horrid dull it makes my natural brown. I use a wash in thing to pep it up, but have stopped trying to cover the other colour!

  11. Ah, excellent work on sharing a new craft with an 83 year old Ann, what fun! And yes my desk or room is constantly like your space.
Thanks for sharing and for popping over too!

Popping by again

Just popping by to say hello. Not a lot to report really.  I had a table, with a friend at a Craft fair at a local church. We got our table...
