So to WOYWW
If you want to find out more you will need to visit the lovely Jan's blog as she is looking after WOYWW while Julia recovers from her op. Hope you improving each day Julia. Also thinking special thoughts of you Jan at this sad time.
So to my desk, aka dining table ( which is only used occasionally - so I'm not clearing it off every five minutes)
So this is Tuesday evening and it won't change tonight :-)
At one end what was left after I had to get those cards finished last week. You can see to the left a card I am putting together for my great niece who will be nine soon. I forgot to take photos :-( and below, at the other end some of my sugar craft work - it was my class this morning. We are making an orchid as part of an arrangement that also includes a rose - hence the rose leaves.
So that's it for my desk for this week. I will visit all who visit me, my favourite blogs and as many others that I can manage.
For those who are interested DH and I went to Yorkshire last Friday. We went to visit our son and his family. Our eldest grandson will be eleven on Thursday so it was to celebrate his birthday and also Father's Day. On Saturday morning we went with DS and younger grandson to watch him in a football tournament. Bless him after three of the matches he felt very poorly and was lay on the ground. He then started to vomit. So home we went. His team though won the tournament so we were pleased for him. He has been quite poorly and off school so far this week. Poor little boy.
He fell asleep when we got back but woke when his brother and friends were setting off for birthday celebrations. He desperately wanted to go but could hardly stand. Grandparents all stayed at home to look after him :-)
Poorly boy :-(
It was a lovely morning on Saturday morning with fabulous views
The birthday boy!
With his cake !!!
Grandpa and granddad opening their Father's day presents.
We left after a super lunch and birthday present opening :-) then back home and a meal with our younger son and family - more presents for DH and another meal! Yummy ! ( I need to go on a diet!!!)
On Monday my friend Thelma took me and two others out for a super late lunch to celebrate her birthday.
I don't think she will thank me for this photo as she is showing a lot of knee/leg :-) - it wasn't that short really !!!She had a lovely time . She is amazing she was 82 on Monday does keep fit, sugar craft comes to card making. She also has a fabulous garden which she does mainly herself.
Hope you've enjoyed all my news this week. Look forward to visiting some desks and seeing what everyone has been up to. :-)
Hope your infection clears up quickly.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours well, Anne! Thelma sounds delightful. I have lunch once a month with an 80 year young friend who amazes me with her engagement with life! xx
ReplyDeleteMy goodness it sounds as if you had a very busy, but fun, week. I'm sorry about your grandson being sick. That is never fun, especially at holiday time. I love that cake! It looks beautifully delicious. So glad you have had so many celebrations. Life should be full of celebration, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your grandson has been poorly now all the end of year things are happening! Poor chappy! I hope he gets better soon.
Thelma looks great (even with a bit of leg). I am amazed at some older folk and the energy they still seem to have. I hope to be like that when I'm 80 (but i doubt it).
Thanks for visiting earlier,
Happy WOYWW,
Greetings from sunny Spain,

ReplyDeleteWow, your friend looks good for her age - hope I can look like that when I get in my 80's (but doubt it).
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have been living it up, and I can empathise about all the eating you have been doing to make you feel like you need a diet but as you are so busy I guess you work it off.
Hope the grandson is feeling much better, quite worrying to hear how he was.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
Sugar crafting is something I not tried yet - it looks like fun! Sounds like you have had a busy weekend with games, sick kids, birthdays, father's day, whew! It's pretty quiet around here...we had a big storm the other day, that's about it! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #45
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, Looks like you are keeping yourself out of mischief;)
ReplyDeleteHope your grandson was much better the next day.
That cake looked scrummy.
Glad the dad's had cards and gifts.
Also glad you had such a lovely time with your friend. In olden days a glimpse of stocking was looked on as something shocking, but heavens knows anything goes:)
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Hi Anne, What a great post! So much to enjoy! Well, except to hear that you haven't been feeling well. I'm sorry to hear that and I hope the antibiotics do their job and make you well. Can I just say the men in your family, including those young men, are very good looking! And, OMG, that cake!! I had to go back and look at that again! What a lucky lad!
ReplyDeleteI sent you an email about my trip. Perhaps you haven't seen it yet because you haven't been feeling well. If you answered, I didn't receive it, so could you please send it again? Thank you! I'm looking forward to meeting you!!
Hugs, Darnell
