Hello and already it's Wednesday!!! it came by too fast last week and although I photographed my desk I just ran out of time to post. I was busy preparing for a class - and I had eleven ladies attend - that was Thursday evening and then on Friday I went down to visit my mum. She is out of hospital for the second time now and making good progress. Her ribs are healing very well, her pelvis is taking longer but she made an amazing recovery. I was so sad to leave though and will still worry. She is very independent and although she has carers going in four times a day she doesn't like them doing much. She announced today that she wants to try to drive her car again very soon!! I have told her she needs to check that out with someone - remember her injuries and that she is 86 and has not driven now for nine weeks.
hello from my mum :-)
I photographed my desk earlier this evening but it is not terribly interesting - I had managed to tidy up after the class on Thursday and then was just sorting through some papers - so not much to see really. I need to get cracking with my next class projects, then my All Day Class - part of that will be a little easier this time as the ladies want to have a go at one of the Stampin' Up! kits in the first half of the class - so my work done for me , just have to prep for the afternoon session.
I have also been asked to have a table at a Christmas Fair again so I'd best get started.
I think I might have a few too many packs of paper! :-) and those are only the ones you can see !
Two gift bags I started on.
A card inspired by one I saw but altered slightly.
I made some cards from the kits so that the ladies could get an idea before choosing the one they wanted.
Why not come and join in the desk hop
Click on the button on side of my blog - will take you to the stamping ground - and Julia - founder of WOYWW.
I will visit all who visit me and those ending with the same number as me and as many others as I can manage. Happy desk hopping. x

Your mom is so beautiful and I am glad she is feeling better and has good help. You are being very creative by the looks of your desk. Bravo! xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely pic of your mum, she's looking perky considering what she's been through...but she absolutely mustn't drive...hide the car keys.
ReplyDeleteLove what you're prepping for you ladies..your classes must be great fun :-)
Hugs, LLJ 10 xx
Nice cards and bags, using SU papers? My friend has lots of SU stuff so when I go to see her in America it is always great fun to have a rummage and see what has built up in her stash over the past year.

*Hello* Anne's Mum! Looking well considering, I'm happy to say! And yeah, you probably do have too many packs of paper, but, no judging here..just enjoying the sight!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your mum is feeling better. Love those cards. #33
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, glad to see your mum looking so well. I think she is a very game lady wanting to drive again, even if the thought is worry for you. Not being able to get out and about under your own steam must be frustrating, to say the least. You seem to be very busy with your workshops and the lovely projects you are creating - love the butterfly card. Wishing you a very good week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #35
ReplyDeleteOops! I did a double take! Your mum looks so much like someone I knew and love (and who has passed away years ago) that I really jumped. I'm glad she is recovering. She looks really well.
ReplyDeleteYou've got your work cut out by the looks of it. What with all those workshops.
Have a good week,
Thanks for visiting earlier,

Have fun with the classes and glad to see your mom is feeling better . I know time is just racing by quickly these days the holidays are showing up to quickly hugs Nikki 3
ReplyDeleteYour mum is so cute! I'm glad she's doing better. We did have to take the keys away from our mom in her early 80s as she was not driving safely and in fact pulled out in front of a guy riding a motorcycle and hurt him badly. Have a super weekend! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Anne,
ReplyDeleteYour mum looks so happy and lovely in the photo. Tell her best wishes from New Mexico! I had a good pile of paper that I've gone through and have given to friends. I also have a bag started for an art teacher at one of the elementary schools in town. Next I'll tackle my rubber stamps. I have too many and they aren't being used.
Thank you for visiting me today. I'm doing better; my knee is getting along nicely and I'm finally getting some energy back.
Hugs,
Kay
