I still need to photograph all my lovely swaps - it;s been a very busy, etc time. More at the end as I know you have come to see my work space.
I have been trying to get ready for my next class - this Saturday , although now I only have three coming. Others are coming next week on Thursday evening :-)
As you may realise I am also a Stampin Up demonstrator . My Upline, a lovely lady named Julie Wade was devastated by events in Manchester. She really wanted to do something, 'to make a difference' she invited as many as wanted to, and who were part of the team known as Julie's Jems ( Julie Kettlewell) to make cards to send to all Doctors, Nurses and Emergency Services who were involved with the aftermath of Manchester, to thank them for all they did. She did a lot of research etc and we sent almost 1000 cards to Manchester.
Then of course we heard on Saturday evening/ Sunday morning of the dreadful events in London. Julie again invited as many of the team who were able to make cards to send to all those involved in aftermath of the London atrocities.
I could only commit to 20 cards for each these are the ones I made for Manchester
I will show you the London ones next week.
My work area tonight ( Tuesday ) it will not change until tomorrow pm.
I will endeavour to visit as many desks as I can. I am sorry that there are some I can't leave comments on as they are Google+ and I don't want to go that route. I will leave a reply in the comments though. Please if you don't know what WOYWW is then please pop over to Julia's Blog and discover more, you won't be sorry.
I have had a lot going on re my mum. She is quite well really, considering what is wrong with her. There are issues re what care etc she will need in the future. Also issues re where she lives and how that is affecting us all. Last week my brother and I arranged for mum to visit a Reitrement Apartment here in Birmingham ( mum is in Somerset) this Monday. I went down to visit last Thursday, my brother was going to join me on Saturday and we hoped to bring her back. Anyway she wouldn't come. made all sorts of excuses - even though she has said it was what she wanted. So I had to come back and leave her. one of my sisters does live near her. Mum has a bungalow where she lives but has been spending a little time in a Care Home , she has a week left there. The situation is not straight forward or easy to deal with but I don't really want to go into it all.
It was very hard leaving on Sunday, especially as it was the anniversary of my dad's death. Anyway suffice to say that last week was not the easiest. one of the reasons I didn't make it here.
hopefully back next week.
