WOYWW 510

That week went by quickly. Thank you for visiting last week and all your kind comments re mum.

My desk is very bare! I actually put stuff away and it will not change until I come back from Card and a Cuppa tomorrow. That's if my lady doesn't cancel. If the weather is awful she may as she walks there, using a stick.

So - an empty desk

I have been preparing for a Class on Saturday - spread to the windowsill :-)  the theme is Cards for Men

Below my bag packed for Card and a Cuppa

Also been doing a bit of knitting. just squares for charity

For those interested - What I've been up to :-)
On Friday we went to Yorkshire to visit our eldest son and family. We went to celebrate Matthew's birthday.

 See the new kitchen/diner/family room ( I have kitchen envy :-)  )

On Saturday Carolynn took me and her Mum to The Piece Hall in Halifax, https://www.thepiecehall.co.uk/ where we browsed the shops and had lunch.
I bought a couple of things including a book I fancied , signed by the author who was there. A lovely lady to talk to. I will add more details next time.

Above playing Monopoly with youngest grandson - DH, D.I.L, Sam,Carolynn's mum
Below eldest on Sunday with Ralph their Beagle!

Carolynn and Matthew , sent from their hotel

Had a really lovely weekend, much needed.
Very wintry scenes on the way home.

Sorry a bit long and photo heavy.

  2. I wish I lived a bit closer as I'd like to come to your workshops - cards for men sounds a good one, I always end up buying jokey ones. Gorgeous kitchen there, it's like out of a Homes magazine!!

  5. Morning Anne. What a lovely post - filled with all your efforts through the week - glad you had such a good time with your family. My youngest grandchild became a teenager on Sunday - I'm feeling very old!!! - the cards for the workshop look good, and your card and a cuppa bag looks exciting - hope the weather is up to the lady coming.
    Take care. God bless.

  6. "Cards for men"... now that's something else isn't that... I do have a few 'tricks' I use all the time when it comes to men's birthdays. I think we all do that isn't it?! I loved looking at all the photos so I didn't mind the photo-heavy at all! Glad you enjoyed the weekend. Happy woyww and a big hug from stormy Holland. Marit #19

  7. Don't you hate it when the weather gets in the way of craftiness. My room isn't heated so I seriously doubt I will be doing much in there today.

Cards for men/boys are so hard. I have a very small group of stamps that would qualify for the task but not many!

What a lovely kitchen! That room looks as big as my living room!! It sounds like you had a wonderful visit.

    Happy WOYWW

  10. That's a lovely card for your Grandson, and I love the idea of a card-making workshop for men's cards - what a great idea, it's always something I struggle with, probably because I'm drawn to dies and stamps of butterflies and flowers more than of cars and football!!
That's a gorgeous kitchen too, no wonder you have kitchen envy!
Hope you have a great week,

  14. That IS a lovely kitchen space, I think it only right that we all experience a little envy!! I hope you managed a card and cuppa, but to be honest, if the weather is similar here, I’d doubt if you’re lady braved it, it’s beyond blustery!
