WOYWW 442

Hello All. Couldn't manage last week. Also knew I wouldn't manage to visit much even if I'd posted - don't like to knowingly do that. sorry a bit picture heavy this week.

Had a brilliant time at the Stampin Up Onstage Got some lovely swaps in return for mine. Saw some lovely new products, was given some super new products and generally had a great weekend. I also got to meet the lovely Karen Pearmain  ( she recently started to join in with WOYWW) Karen became my downline early this year. We met for the first time on the Friday before Onstage on the Saturday. We shared a room on Friday evening, spent all day together at Onstage then Karen came to stay at my house so that she wouldn't have to drive back to Billericay on the Sat evening. We 'played' in my craftroom on Sunday morning before Karen returned home. We got on really well and never stopped talking :-) -  I got to know Karen from UKPC forum - run by BJ - and I think I came to join the group as a result of posting on WOYWW :-)

 Below team gifts I received
All the stuff I received from Stampin Up themselves
 All the swaps I received

Swaps I made - they each contained a Lindt chocolate or a truffle

So to my desk - it is a tip as is the rest of the room - I have to sort it all out by Friday :-( - class on Saturday.
Another view

After all that I was preparing a few makes for a Craft Fayre. My friend had suggested we share a table - she was selling cakes. I couldn't make the Fayre as I was in Yorkshire. So another friend sold my makes - didn't do too badly really.

I am now busily prepping for my class on Saturday - All Day Christmas Class!

I look forward to visiting everyone this week - I will visit all who visit me, end in same number as me and as many more as I can. If you'd like to join in then do visit Julia's Blog and join in the fun.

Update re Mum

The weekend of Onstage was spent with my phone on, by my side , even at night. Mum developed some sort of infection, they thought another water infection. They did put her on antibiotics and she recovered well. They then said they were not sure if it was a water infection :-( didn't know what it was though.
She then seemed to come on really well. I rang her on Sunday , very cheerful. more walking and looking forward to going to a Care Home for at least next four weeks. Chatting about the activities etc that they do there.
Forward to Monday - poorly again. Breathing difficult, vomiting. tummy pain :-( then told they think Noro Virus

Last bit of news - had a great weekend in Yorkshire. My D.I.L. , her mum and I went to see Fat Friends at the Leeds Grand Theatre on Friday eve. It was so funny. The three of us went for a meal beforehand. On Saturday we all went to Craft fayre at Huddersfield Uni in aid of a Hospice. That afternoon D.I.L., her mum and I went to an Afternoon Tea held to help some young men (still at school) to raise money they need to fund a trip to China, with their school for Voluntary Work. They were super lads, helped with prep and at the event. Good to know that there youngsters out there that are doing good things, not all teenagers are bad!
That evening we made our own pizzas, sampled raspberry liquer( bought at the Craft Fayre)  in Prosecco and then played games with our grandsons. Sunday very chilled, had lunch and then returned home. A great weekend and very relaxing.
Well I think that's all for now, a good job really - I will be in trouble with the boss!!! See you soon.

  3. Hi Anne, lovely post, great to catch up on what a fab weekend you had. Those swaps are all gorgeous! I do hope your Mom is feeling a bit better- I know exactly how lousy a UTI makes you feel, and how fast it can get a real grip. Being in hospital was the best place for her, she got prompt treatment, which makes a world of difference. Loving all the pics of your Craft stall makes too. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 XxX

  6. I hope your mum recovers soon, as Annie says, that's no fun for anyone let alone someone of your mum's age. Looks like the stamping up event was great fun. Glad the craft fair went well too. Helen #2

  10. Gosh, how nice a weekend you've had with your SU colleagues and friends. Love that box on your workdesk, what a lovely make that is - is it for your saturday class. I'm so late that you wont have time to answer that, so dont worry, am sure all will be revealed!

  11. Sorry I am so late this week. No excuse, just bits and bobs happening.
Well, looks as if you had a good weekend with fellow SU people, and what a lot of wonderful goodies you got - and what you made.
Sorry to hear about Mum again. It is a worry isn't it? Must have put such a damper on the weekend. It will be better when she leaves there probably and goes into the nursing home for respite. I am glad she is, when well, looking forward to it and thinking about all the activities she can take part in. Bless her.
Sounds like the weekend "oop North" went well - good on those boys.
Hugs and Thanks for visiting me, Neet xx

  12. What a busy time you've been having, Anne. Sorry to hear that your mum got poorly again after rallying so well. It is a worry at that age, isn't it. Mine seems to be doing pretty well but is definitely feeling her 96 years but seemed in fairly good spirits when we saw her this p.m. Your Stamping Up event sounds great fun. I've got a few of their things and they are lovely quality. Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm so sorry to be such ages replying - it's been a frantic week, knitting socks, dealing with the kitties (they do look cute in their little suits, don't they!) and cooking various dishes from 4 big pheasants my hubby was given, has taken up most of my time this week. As a result, no further studio time! Hopefully this week I'll remedy that.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
