Can you believe it's Wednesday again - I know we all say it every week but it's so scary how these weeks are flashing by.
I am sorry I didn't make many desks again last week but went off to Leeds again!!! I will however try and visit everyone who came to see my desk last week and try and get to some of the others.
I hadn't had chance to do much in way of cards but did manage some knitting on way to and back from Leeds.
This morning I went to much needed visit to hairdresser this morning for colour and cut plus blow dry. This afternoon I made some cards yayyyyy!!!!
Any way my desk as it was this morning before I started properly on cards this afternoon. Oh yes and if you are wondering why I'm showing you my desk and what is this WOYWW all about click on the button at bottom of my blog to take you to the lovely Julia's the architect of this wonderful event and visit desks worldwide.
THE DESK
Can you see Pippin. A few years ago now one of the children I'd taught gave me this 'Andrex Puppy' when they left. My granddaughter loves it. She's named her Pippin and when she gets to our house on Mon,Tues afternoon she gets little bowls to feed it. On Mon I had to sit at my desk and play teachers- she left the 'dog' there for all the children to look at. It was still thee this morning. In the box are a few wooden stamps I bought when I first started stamping.
At the left there is a card that was sent to me by my Stampin Up mummy ( I'm still getting my head around it all) the other card is one I am making for my nephew's birthday next week. My grey promarkers are in the case you can see, all the others are in the pots at the back!!My Stampin Up ink pads and my spotty holder.
Below are some photos of the view from our front door. The blossom has been beautiful and I love sitting in the lounge looking out at the trees, I can kid myself I live in a wood in the country :-) There was a break in the weather and so I took a photograph as I fear it will all be gone soon.
As you can see above we live on an unmade road- it's looked like a creek today with all the rain.
And finally my new hairdo- I'm a bit camera shy. The book I'm holding is very funny . My DIL gave it to my husband to read- thought he'd appreciate it!!!
I think the darker hair colour is slighly 'redder' than the photo shows. I am very pleased with it as it's a change for me and they say a change is as good as a rest.
I'll be back soon with some cards. Anne x

WOYWW 150
Where on earth does the time between one Wednesday and the next go. It only seems like yesterday I was posting WOYWW 149. If you want to know what it's all about go to button at end of my blog and it will take you to WOYWW boss lady Julia. Will be off there in a minute myself to go and have a nosey at other desks around the world.
I must put that Christmas card - the snowman one away- he keeps on popping up everywhere.I have been having another reorganisation of my desk space and storage space . I don't really like that stack of boxes at the side there but am trying to think of and alternative. Have been having a play at some cards'gifts for a workshop I've been asked to do.
The pile of tools you can see there were tipped out of my bag as I was trying to find the tip off the syringe that has the clear glue in it ( only I can't think what it's called!!!!****)
Oooooohhhhh where did that caddy with inkpads come from :-)
Those ink pads look lonely think I'll have to get some more.
Well that's about it. I'm not really doing as much crafting as I would like at the moment. Seem to be pulled in too many directions at the moment.
Anyway thanks for looking. hope to 'report in next week' :-) Anne x

Well it was back to school today
for my granddaughter so we were taking care of her this afternoon. We went to Ikea after lunch. I wanted to lok for some more storage and Ella loves playing in the creche there. Afterwards she had an icecream - well we all did!! Then went and bought some groceries for my Auntie who is unwell and didn't feel like shopping.
Tomorrow it's back to Sugarcraft after the Easter break and in the afternoon I'm having a pedicure and DH will be playing with our GD.
Finished this card yesterday to send to a friend - just catching up with one another.
The card, paper and 'hello' greeting are all from Stampin' Up as is the white label. Ribbon and 'just a note' sentiment were probably bought from where I go to a class.
Just need to find a few minutes to write the card now.
Take care till next time. Anne x

Hi there
let me see now what have I been up to since Wednesday - I know the time has just flown by.
On Thursday I went to the knitting group I started, there were only three of us and I spent time helping one of the ladies sewing up the shoulder seam on her garment and picking up the stitches around the neck for her. I think she was happy.
On Thursday afternoon went shopping after going to see my Aunt who is not very well.
Friday I spent tidying up everywhere but especially in my craft area- I had new goodies to find home for. Also made a card for my sugarcraft teacher as it is her birthday next week. At about 4 we went to our son's we had been asked for dinner and we go go whenever we wanted. So we had time to play with the girls and I helped bath them and read the eldest a story- well it was a comic type book about Garfield and she thought it was hilarious.
DS made a chilli and we had a 'drop' of wine - a lovely evening.
On Sat morning I went to cardmaking class and caught up with everyone's news and spent my gift tokens on some more memory box dies.
More finishing off cards on the afternoon and DH got dinner ready.
Today I've done bits of everything including some crafting. DS and his wife and girls visited prior to going to a 'swimming party' - they had both got to go into pool with the girls- they were not exactly looking forward to it!!!!
Then A bit more crafting and dinner and catching up with all news on here. Will put a few photos below. Hope you've all had a lovely weekend. See you soon. Anne x
The first two show the Blog Candy I won from the lovely Sheena. I love the little scissors you can see in 2nd picture.
Below a card I made for my teacher at Sugarcraft. I had one that was similar sent to me and I liked it so much I made another- different stamps and colours.
The piece inside pulls out and I wrote a message on the back.
Below are the things we made at card class--designs were from Linda. Two tags and -
two cards I think I forgot the sentiment on one below and also stamped the script on the tag upside down.

WOYWW 149
It really doesn't seem long since last week's WOYWW. I went to Somerset to spend Easter with Mum the next day and returned home yesterday so my desk did not change all week. I have spent today making more changes to my space to hold some new goodies. There are things afoot here at Copper Beeches but more of that another time. I also managed to make a card for my sister's MIL who will be 90 on Friday. I am not altogether happy with the result but have no time to make another. Why do I always work out how a card should have been after I've finished it. Anyway what is WOYWW - click on the button at end of my blog to share in with this nosey at other desks around the world, all the idea of Julia.
My desk
Not anything interesting to look at really.
Above the items at the front and the pinflair were all in a parcel I had from a friend at cardmaking class for my birthday - some useful basic stuff.
Also been sorting out some ribbon, raffia etc.
The card I made for the lady who will be 90. I don't think the sentiments and the 90 stand out enough.Below the Memory Box dies I bought last week and some of you asked to see what they were.
Happy WOYWW and hopefully I will get through a few more desks this week.
Thanks to everyone who left me comments before - really appreciated and hope to visit you al.
Bye for me Anne x

I'm back
from Somerset. I went last Thursday with DH to spend Easter with my mum. She is a lot better but I think she is pretending to be better than she is. I am afraid that she will not fully return to the person she was before. I hatd leaving today but had to come home at some point. My brother and his wife have gone down today until Thursday. One of my sister's lives down there. We took her to Lyme Regis for a little walk on Sundaay afternoon which she said she enjoyed.
I will hopefully be back tomorrow with WOYWW and more. Anne x

WOYWW 148
I am late joining in again and missed last week altogether - life has been a tad trying lately but enough of that - it's time to go and peruse crafters desks around the world. All made possible by the lovely Julia . Thanks to Julia for my badge that arrived today. To find out more click on button at bottom of my blog.
So to my desk
I have had a few cards to make this week and little time. The card at very left was made at cardmaking class & designed by Mandy at the craftbarn. There are some Stampin Up stamps and the start of two cards with balloons for twins who will be five.
Below the right hand side of the desk my stickles etc.
The balloon cards again and in the paper bag two new memory box dies!!!

Above some Easter cards - I can't remember where I saw this card in a different colour combination so if it is you apologies that I've forgotten. I have used some different colour combinations you can see some more below
Below the 'balloon cards for the twins. I will have to photograph elsewhere as the patterns on the reverse of the papers has shown through. Not sure if you can see the touches of glitter.
Below is a very quick thankyou card that I needed to pop in with one of the Easter cards.

A wonderful weekend
it started with a visit to the craftbarn to cardmaking class. I took cream cakes for everyone - it was my birthday on Sunday yes I am an April 1st baby. I received some lovely handmade cards and presents from the ladies. We made four cards- this week they were designed by the lovely Mandy. Although there were four cards one of them has not photographed well so have left it off.
Below is the outside and then inside of second card.
Third card - outside and then inside.
Two of my presents from the ladies were gift tokens and though the above photo is not very good it gives you the idea of what they are like - metal hearts with amount they are worth stamped on the back and they are presented in the gauze bag you can see - cute hey.
On Saturday aftenoon we met both my sons and their families at a ten pin bowling alley. The children had un bowling and then playing in the area. My eldest son and family came back to our house for dinner and to stay the night ready for my birthday the next day.
On Sunday morning DS, D'D.I.L. and grandsons came into our room and sat on the bed while I opened their cards and presents to me. Lovely cards, some White Company shower hel and hand and nail cream plus some money for some crafting goodies. Oh I also had some flowers some more white lillies.I had lots of cards to open and quite a few pressies as well. Later my younger son and family arrived with cards, presents, and a lovely chocolate cake filled with fresh cream and strawberries that my DIL had made - I forgot to take a pic. Then my sis,her son, husband and her grandson came. She had come to collect the sugar flower decoration I'd made for her MIL's cake. They brought me a lovely plant (we don't exchange birthday presents unless it's a milestone one. It all felt very festive.
After my sis and family left we went out to lunch and afterwards the children played in a playground area at the pub we went to. It was a beautiful day weatherwise. We then went home for coffee and cake!!!
The children played in the garden and as it started to get colder they went in and watched a DVD while my DIl and I got tea ready.
It was then time for them to go home - boo. Matthew,Carolynn and the boys hed to go back up to Leeds -they got home about 9 o clock but the boys are now on their Easter break so no school today.
DH and I then sat down and relived the day over a glass of wine - it was very quiet.
I had a wonderful birthday weekend hope you all had a lovely one as well. Anne x
