Hello again, it's Wednesday again which means a hop around the world having a nosey at other folks desks and crafty things. If you want to join in then pop over to Julia's desk. Click onto button at end of my blog.
My week has sped by so quickly I've not made it onto my blog since last week. I 'll put more about what I've been up to along with photos when I've shown my desk. Doing that first so you don't need to go all through post to find it if you are in a hurry.
To be honest there is just a jumble of things. I had 5 cards to make by the end of last week and very little time. I did use the bug on three of them and the sticky tape you can see. The coloures basket at the back has all sorts of bits and pieces and I think I was looking for something I thought I'd dropped in there.
More tape. scissors, cutter, tools and at the front to the side a gift box I am playing with for a future project.
Some cards - well a gift bag first - not sure if I've already posted this or another version of it. It's made from a 12 x 12 piece of card/paper - this one is Indigo from Stampin Up. Beads from the lots I have in my collection, little tag from Stampin Up punch flowers from punches I have - can't remember exactly which.
The one above was for my son who had a birthday on Sat 28th April. I used idea from SU catalogue.
Oooooppps thought I'd flipped that round- this one is for my nephew who has a birthday on Friday.
The above is for a lady on a forum where we send b'day cards to each other. I've used SU card - indigo, the border along middle is a Memory Box die. SU tag . The colours are not showing so wel. It is brighter and sparklier in real life . There are stickles on the flowers and glittery butterflies.
Hope you like them.
As I said Saturday was my younger son's birthday. We went with him and our DIL and granddaughters to Ironbridge and in particular the Enginuity Museum. The girls loved it.
We had an indoor picnic and my DIL had made a cake and lit a candle and we sang happy birthday much to the amusement of other visitors. My granddaughter wanted to know why Daddy only had 1 candle on his cake.
When we left the Museum we went into town and the girls and I had an icecream even though it was cold but at least not raining.
We sat near the famous Iron Bridge eating our icecreams. The river was swollen, fast flowing and very brown.

I took several photos but can only show a few as my granddaughters are on others and DS doesn't like them on internet.
How would you have liked to have to do your washing in this?
There were several displays like the one below wwhere you could scan an exhibit and then there was an explanation on a screen. My youngest GD loved scanning.
Below some more exhibits that were hands on and the girls loved turning, pushing, feeding, sorting etc etc -Science mad fun!!!
Below the bridge and the swollen river.
I would have liked to get inside here but it was closed.

The icecream shop - yummy ice cream shame the day was so cold.
Well that was just a taste of what we saw and there is a lot more we could have looked at but you would need more than a day.
On at eve we babysat so that DS and DIL could go out for a meal. DS and DIL asked us to dinner on Sun eve with D. I .L's parents to celebrate DH's birthday on Monday. My DIL had made a lovely blackforest gateau. So a great weekend.
See you soon. Anne x
