So thought I would attempt to try and join in. Had done a post two weeks ago and accidentally deleted, because of new set up.
Just photographed my space. A bit of a mess but not as bad as it was!
I am about to make a card for our D. I. L. - had lot of birthdays this week. Our eldest granddaughter was 13 yesterday. Will try and include her card.
Will visit desks later.
Take care all.
Hi Anne. Good to see you today. I have been a bit on and off myself recently... life just gets in the way sometimes, doesn't it? Great cards there today - well done.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter will love that card! I know the new blogger is a lot to get to know. Definitely some glitches. I hope all is well with you. Our son's family has been back living with us for 3 weeks due to a fire threatening their home but they move back tomorrow. Stay well! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Wow, that card for your granddaughter took some making! Bet she was really chuffed to get that! Had to enlarge your desk shot today...to search for the mess, and to look at what I think is actually a sanding block at left. To begin with, I wondered if you’d started to cover large match boxes.....
ReplyDeleteTerrific cards especially the tri level card ~ Very clever! Enjoy your week love, Karen #28
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful cards, Anne, especially the one for your granddaughter. That's a real keepsake card.

Thank you for your return visit, Anne, and please don't apologise for the long comment - I so enjoyed reading it! It was lovely that my story of how my hubby and I first met seems to have sparked off others to share their stories too, and it's so much fun hearing about it. I was highly amused that you and your hubby met in Woolies of all places lol!! We know a vicar who met his wife in Dartmoor Prison! He was the chaplain, and she was a prison visitor, but it always causes a lot of amusement at dinner parties etc. when they say that!! I can imagine how your parents felt with you being so young (child bride!) and then you proving everyone wrong by having such a wonderful life together and achieving so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the fashion shoot this week, and also that my cross stitching has inspired you to get going on yours again. That's one of the things I love about WOYWW, the mutual inspiration between us all!
ReplyDeleteI have been sorting through a lot of old photos and doing a huge online backup over the past few days and I am shocked when I see what I looked like a few short years ago - you are right about the weight creeping on. I excused it by saying everyone gets middle aged spread but suddenly came to my senses and decided to do something about it. If I'd known about whole-food plant-based eating at the time I could have avoided the much more difficult discipline of intermittent fasting, but that way I did manage to lose 4 1/2 stone, and I have since lost a few more pounds on WFPB. I watch a lot of YouTube videos about it, including a lot of lectures by experts, and that particular video seemed to sum up really well exactly why I am doing it. The results speak for themselves with my hubby's turn-around in health and his weight loss. Some of the pictures of him even just last year, he looks totally different! The best way to stop bad eating habits is to clear the house of the offending so-called foods and stock up on real food lol!
I hope you've had a good week, and hope to see you on Wednesday for the next WOYWW.
Hugs,
Shoshi x
