WOYWW

So second attempt. I did one post complete with photos using new interface? Then lost it all.

Thank you for lovely comments last week. I was a little late with some replies so sorry.

I started a little crafting, four cards. Two have already gone.

I also had to visit the bank last week and then decided to pop to Morrisons as it was quiet. Was fine in the bank but some thoughtless people in Morrisons - not sure I will go in again. Also visited my lovely friend Thelma on Friday. Sat in the garden.

We were contemplating visiting Matthew and family in Yorkshire but as they are in Kirklees that's not possible now.( Restrictions back) :-(

Jonathan and family arrived safely home from Aberdovey but said it was madness on Friday so they went elsewhere for the day.

Granddaughters visited today. Jonathan and Sarah are working from home and no Summer School/ activities for girls.
Today we baked, crafted, checked out a box of new craft goodies for me and started a jigsaw! All good fun.

Our youngest grandson turned 13 ( 4th August) miss not being able to see him- the first time we have not celebrated his birthday.

You can glimpse one of the cards, they were all the same but had different coloured embellishments.
The paper to the right is a new one from SU- Christmas theme.

Phoebe decorated the box whilst Ella filled the cases.
They tasted yummy - toffee muffins.

So that is all for this week. I will pop by as many desks as I can. Bye for now.

  1. Sorry you weren't able to celebrate your grandson's birthday in person Anne. Looks like you had fun with the granddaughters though. Hopefully the restrictions can be lifted soon and you will be able to visit your son in Kirklees. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #4

  2. Sounds as if you had a super day with the girls. Those buns look very yummy! Can not imagine a more lovely day for them than one filled with all you provided, what a lovely gran you are. Sorry to hear about the missed birthday, this darned Pandemic has a lot to answer for. Did you get a Facetime or anything to make up for it a little?
We have not ventured into a shop as yet (since 15/3/20)and I hear from so many that they have had experiences like yours so it does not make me want to try it. Sorry you had to experience it.
    Sending love, Neet 14 xx

  3. How lovely to see you've been enjoying time with your family. It's such a shame the few spoil it for the majority when it comes to keeping safe in the world right now. Stay safe.

  5. we keep putting off going to the bank but need to pay some cash in ( we dont seem to use it as the mo) . You are brave, we have only been inside small local stores - none of the big ones. I have been shopping online due to two of mine shielding and i wont change that for the foreseeable future. The card on your desk looks really pretty. Have a lovely week. Soojay #17

  6. It's so difficult at the minute isn't it. You feel you are doing OK and then go somewhere that's really not ok. I'm sticking to quiet times of the day for supermarket shopping, seems to be the best option. I'm sorry you haven't been able to get up to Yorkshire. We are just on the border of the restrictions here so fingers crossed we stay low enough.
I bet those buns were delicious.
Enjoy your week and take care

  7. Sadly there are still some people in the supermarkets that don't seem to realise that they need to keep their distance. The buns look scrummy and it's good to see everyone getting involved.

  8. Well you’re certainly staying busy Anne! Must be lovely to be able to help out by having the girls, specially as they’re ok getting creative. And when that’s finished, you have internet which you a very cool grandma! Golly, even Christmas stuff on your table. I really think I need to start taking this vanishing time thing more seriously!!

  11. I had to go to town to get Alex some new clothes and was horrified at the number of people wearing masks beneath their noses or not at all or wearing them to get past the member of staff at the shop entrance and then taking them off once they were inside. I wont be venturing to town for a while. So nice to see you had the girls with you. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love and God Bless, Caro xxx (#13)

  13. I just go shopping in the evening when there's fewer people around, bit of a pain but less hassle. We're just keeping ourselves out of the melee too, just don't want to sit in a pub or restaurant that much! Glad to see you've been having a good time with the family.

  14. Those muffins look delicious! In Spain everybody wore masks and there were police making sure! We got back Friday, so we are self isolating. The new blogger seems temperamental, I guess they will smooth out the kinks eventually. Angela #24

  15. Seeing the positives is what’s needed now and you’ve nailed it Anne with your card making and activities with the children. So a big round of applause is being sent to you.
Maybe I’ll see you painting your nails next heehee.
Keep on doing what you’re doing because it’s great.

  16. Sounds like you've been busy with family visiting - the girls look immersed in their activities. Yummy cakes! I got into the habit of going to Waitrose for top-ups instead of Morrisons as the people are much better behaved there (but of course a lot more expensive - I couldn't afford doing the weekly shop there but it's ok for bits and pieces). Thanks for your visit earlier - happy crafting! xx zsuzsa #11

  17. Aah, that sounds like a perfect girlie day with your granddaughters Anne. Your card looks great too, I love the colour combo. I know what you mean about inside the stores, I find it even worse when I have to go on the bus as you're stuck in there with them (my bus journey is over an hour) and I don't dare challenge them - can't blame the drivers for not enforcing the rules either. Thank goodness for having our creative hobbies to keep us sane at the moment! Have a great week :) Annie C #16

  18. So lovely to see the grandchildren having fun with the baking and crafting. That brought back a lot of happy memories for me - Mum taught us how to do these things and I also used to spend a lot of time with my grandmother in the kitchen too, and she taught me to crochet. So sad that so many of the younger mothers these days have absolutely no idea about such things...

Thank you for your visit and your kind words - glad you like my tiny carpets and enjoyed my fashion show and the kitties!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  21. Ann, in the midst of the unique challenges of 2020, I am glad that you have been able to gather with some of your family as you celebrate your dear mum's life and yet mourn her death. My prayers are for blessing for you and yours as you invest your lives creatively, by loving and caring. xx
