WOYWW

So I didn't make it again last week. We had two lovely lady decorators here - revamping one of our spare bedrooms. I knew I wouldn't get round to visiting.

It has been the usual 'busyness ' here. Spent a lot of time clearing out the bedroom for decoration , taken lots to Charity Shop. We decided to change the furniture completely and I am trying to get rid of old stuff so I have things all over the place. New carpet coming in a week's time. Will be glad to get all sorted.

I don't really feel I get to see mum often but the distance is a problem. :-(  Felt at a loss last couple of weeks as she doesn't seem to want to talk on phone.

Am quite well prepared for upcoming craft events.

Looking forward to the weekend as off on a Craft Retreat weekend. Will tell you all about it next time.

Lots happening and I feel as though I'm not coping with it all that well at present - hoping weekend away with friends will help.

This was/ is work area tonight (Tuesday) - have been putting final touches to the Vanity Boxes as they are gifts for two lovely ladies at the weekend.

A couple of cards I made for World Card Day.

 Hopefully back soon.

  1. Your cards are gorgeous! Hope you get to feeling better soon! I understand the distance problem. We lived 1400 miles from my parents until we moved to be closer.
And hope all the decorating, etc. goes well.
    Have fun this weekend!

  5. Lovely cards, my friend. Good job! I'm sorry you don't get to see your mum enough. I went every single week to visit mine with my 2 sisters for the last 4 or 5 years of her life. It was a long drive for me to the other side of Portland but I'm glad I was able to do it.

  6. Morning Anne. Wow - those cards are stunning! Well done. I do hope you have a great weekend away - relax and enjoy. Yes, distance is a problem as our family gets older, isn't it? I spent a lot of time on the motorways between North Wales and the Midlands when my parents were still alive! Take care whenever you travel.
    God bless.

  7. It sounds like you have a lot going on Anne, as much as it is nice to redecorate and have a clear out it can be very stressful especially when we have other concerns on our mind. I hope it all comes together quickly now giving you a little less to worry over. Enjoy your crafty weekend away it will do you the world of good.

  8. Love the cards but am sad to hear life is still a struggle for you. My hubby has a good way of coping with like's challenges....If you can do something to change what's happening then change it but if you can't then don't worry about it. I know it sounds easy but living with him for 38 years has helped me deal with life's challenges. Biggest hugs.

  9. Is that the new SU trimmer on your desk? I'm also an SU Demo but don't have their trimmer. I've just got myself a Stamparatus, though.

  12. Morning Ann, you cards are beautiful! I so get the no coping feeling - lots going on here as well. We are also decorating (still - it feels like its gone on forever) and the residual upheaval is so not my favourite thing. Can never understand why people do it all the time, they must just not have a hobby!! Also can't always seem to get to see my mum and telephone talking is hopeless - even with her snazzy new hearing aids she misses 50%. I do wonder sometimes where we are trying to get to - I always have such a long to do list I forget what's important sometimes. Sorry to go on but your words did resonate this morning!! Still I am going to get the inks out and play!! (Once I've finished the ironing, put he washing on, picked up the dry cleaning, hoovered the house.............) Happy WOYWW Cindy #18

  13. I think a crafty weekend away is just what the doctor ordered, so you can have some time for yourself without worrying about everyone else. Enjoy and don't feel guilty about leaving the world behind for 48 hours!!

  15. Wow, your cards are stunning - what a fabulous collection of stamps you used, and to such great effect.
I hope you enjoy your weekend and come back feeling refreshed - I do feel for you being so far away from your mum, I know how hard that can be.

  20. Lovely two cards from craft card day, and Anne can so understand the dilemma of not being in control of things with house all topsy turvy. Shame re mum being so far away, I guess there wasn’t a place closer for her?
    Maybe her choice?
Think phone calls are harder as they age. l pray for you both in it.
Happy belated WOYWW. Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #10

  22. Lovely cards Anne, I especially like the second one - is that going to be a Christmas card?
So sorry you not getting to see your mum as often as you would like hurts like it does, I am sure she knows the reason is only because of distance.
However, you have this weekend booked up and that should make you forge things and hopefully feel a bit better - have a lovely time and tell us all about it (with photos) next week.
