Well I had lots of plans for my crafting, for 2018, as yet apart from moving stuff off the dining table ( we used the room and table for what it was intended during Christmas) I have not done anything. I feel quite lethargic - I think post Christmas blues.
So this is my work space - very boring!!! I am in need of inspiration.
A few new stamp sets to the left, otherwise nothing!!!
Below my actual little desk , I outgrew this a long time ago. It was an old washstand that was converted into a desk by a friend of DH. The stamps are my Christmas ones. I think I may have one/two too many :-)
Below - I am still enjoying looking at my tree and the lights. I don't take my decorations down until 5th Jan. It is still Christmas as far as I'm concerned. I am saddened by how quickly it is over for some and they are onto the next 'fix' My friend saw a big Easter Display on 28th December - what is that all about ????
I’m really hoping 2018 is a better one for you and yours Anne. I have to be honest and say we’ve taken our decorations down....it’s been something we’ve always done because our eldest daughters birthday is on January 7th so we liked to make that special.

Happy New Year Anne. Yes, I do trust you will see a settledness within this year, less of the stress which permeated right through 2017. It's hard!!! Glad someone else still has their tree and decorations up - so have I. I never take them down until the last moment - and sometimes even later!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care dear girl. God bless.

Oh Anne, I feel quite teary myself for you. I k now what it is like getting elderly relatives settled and it must be worse than ever when it is your mum. Sending you gentle hugs.
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks lovely, and it looks so cosy there in your room. Proper Christmassy. I have taken the cards down but left the tree up until 12th night. I do like to see it lit up even though it was only the small tree this year.
May I wish you all the very best for 2018 and hope things work out for you satisfactorily.
Happy New Year, Neet 2 xx
My cards have gone but not the lights and tree, we still celebrate Three Kings here in Spain. I hope 2018 is a better year for you and your family. Anickoana #7 & #14 link #7 doesn't work installed a new hard drive over Christmas and didn't set Mr Linky up properly obviously.
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, Happy New Year, and I hope too your Mom manges to get settled somewhere she is happy really soon. I too think I have far too many Christmas stamps, every year I say I won't buy any more, and I always end up buying at least a couple. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 XxX
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year gorgeous gal - may 2018 be a good one for us all. I especially hope that your mum gets sorted soon, you've all been through the mill with her situation.
ReplyDeleteI had no mojo at all in the run up to Christmas, so understand how you're feeling right now. But not crafting is allowed, don't feel guilty, you'll soon be struck by an idea and be away again.
Hugs LLJ 8 xxx
Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI too still have my tree and 'stuff' to play with, I just don't like putting it all away.
I hope 2018 is a much better year for you and your Mam, it's such a worry for you all.
Enjoy your tree and take care

I hope you get something sorted for your poor mum soon, too. 2018 needs to be a lot better for a lot of people! I've still got my decorations up too, such as they are... mainly because I'm too lazy but I do usually leave them till 12th night. Helen #3
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree. Goodness you have a very full desk, I like how you have overflowed onto the dining room table. I overflow onto the floor hahah! Have a wonderful week.

Happy New Year! I can see you have got some of the new stamp sets that I have got from Sale-a-bration pre-order. I have my first class on Friday so it's about time I started preparations!!

You've had quite a time of it, Anne, and I think you are probably more exhausted than you realised - give yourself a break and don't be too hard on yourself! The worry over your mum, and the FM, are both going to cause fatigue and low spirits. Also, please don't beat yourself up about weight gain - it is well known that FM sufferers often gain weight. I am trying to learn the lesson at the moment, while everything has been going crazy around here, to try and tackle one thing at a time and not get overwhelmed by the big picture - not easy to do and I have to keep getting myself in check!
ReplyDeleteSo be kind to yourself, and I hope and pray for better things for us all in the coming year. Thank you so much for your kind words.
Happy WOYWW and a very happy New Year, Anne!

Hi Anne, you enjoy your tree for as long as you can. They were advertising Easter eggs on the TV tonight, can you believe it! I would like to wish you a great woyww and a very Happy and creative New Year, Angela x14x
ReplyDeleteI agree - so much preparation for Christmas and it is over so quickly. I didn't put my tree up until late so it will be staying up longer. Maybe even to February. ;-)

Hi dear Anne, every blessing of the Lord for you and those you love, I especially pray with you that your dear mum might be settled somewhere... a place she’ll love an dnear you also. Miracles do happen. I pray so soon.
ReplyDeleteAh few too many stamps.. WOnder why you think that Anne? :D
I cant talk I’m trying to tidy and getting nowhere I feel.
But think I am. Just struggling to decide how to store some things without breaking bank in buying storage. One step at a time.
I took my dec.s down the day before cleaner came, Monday, as didn’t want all the tinsel there till next day. Just made sense and to be honest was good to tidy it away ... it was easy tidying.
Thanks so much for your great desky share.

My tree is still up too, will take it down on the 5th as well. So sad to see Christmas go, I can relate to post-Christmas blues! But I can now look forward to next Christmas, which has to be better than this one was (as far as stress and sickness goes). And I really don't know how anyone can have too many Christmas stamps! Have a wonderful 2018! Lindart #28
ReplyDeleteDefinitely post Christmas blues, you’ll soon find you’re raring to go as routine starts to return! Your tree looks gorgeous. Happy New Year to you both, I too hope your Mum finds settlement, it will do you so much good too!
