WOYWW 393

Thank you for all the lovely comments last week and kind thoughts about Alexis. He is ok at the moment. Has to wait a while for the EEG - brain scan. We already know he suffered some brain damage at birth - won't know how badly he has been affected until he is older.

I do visit everyone who visits me - however there are a couple of blogs I can't respond to - I think need to join google +

As always it's been busy. I've been getting some chores done and putting up decorations. Of course the inevitable shopping. I had to buy some cards as I knew I wouldn't get enough made in time to post. I still have to finish the staircase cards ( if you would like to see the tutorial I am using it is here -The Craft Spa and my granddaughter's and DH's.

So my desk-

A bit of a mess!!!I am trying to create DH's card - for some reason I can't come up with an idea and I'm not inspired by anything.

I've written a lot of cards and completely forgot to take photos.
Wall lights are reflected well in my Misti :-)

Hopefully by this time next week this will all be away ready for using the table as a dining table when family come for Christmas.

If you would like to join in with WOYWW then pop along to Julia's Blog and find out more.

Other News

Last Thursday evening I was lucky enough to go with younger son to watch our eldest GD perform her Christmas performance - super. DH went to see younger GD on Wed morning. Parents are only allowed so many tickets.
At the weekend DH and I took our granddaughters up to Yorkshire for the weekend. Our youngest son had asked us to babysit and as our eldest son's wife  was performing in the village panto up in Yorkshire we went to see her and took the girls with us. The girls love seeing their cousins and were mega excited.
The panto was brilliant - our D.I.L. is very talented and our younger grandson took part with others in his class, they were dancers. He was very good.
Our eldest grandson was part of a guard of honour at Huddersfield Town's match. His other grandparents and our son took him.
On Sunday I went with my son and youngest GD to watch Sam ( youngest GS ) play his match and D.I.L. and her mum took Harry ( eldest GS) to his match. Both of their teams won!!!
After lunch we set off for the two and a half hour journey home.

Our D.I.L.  - she was so funny in this role

It was very cold up here at football

A stunning sunset on the way home

That's all for now. Hopefully I will have time to visit next week.

I am stuck with a card for my other half too - perhaps inspiration will come to us both when we least expect it. Hope so.
Thanks for your visit earlier and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Reading about your adventures with grandchildren, and other family members - boy - you need a map to keep track of it all! Sounds like you are having fun though! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #35

  16. ack, I have not even thought to make hubs a card... I guess I should start doing that. ( I have been trying to find time to be home when he is not to wrap his gifts) (and we share the hobby room above the garage and since we are using it like a den or living room right now while the house is being worked on, its hard to be up there when he is not) :) Thanks for the earlier visit, ~Stacy
