Thanks to everyone for you kind words and good wishes.
To my desk - (sorry for going of piste Julia)
My main working area. It is not terribly exciting. I sat and put some bits away. I then began to get other bits together to make some Easter cards and gifts - but didn't get any further. I seem to have lost motivation :-(
This has been where I've worked in the main. Sat on the sofa with mainly yarn around me. On arm of the sofa is my journal I'm trying to take part in Documented Life Project. Doing bits here and there. Have started a blanket ( one of four two knitted and two crochet)
A simple birthday card. I already had the base card with the oval cut out.
Well not a lot to see. I look forward to visiting as many other desks as I can. Want to find out more / join in then go to Julia's ( the boss) Blog and find out more!!!
See you later. x
It will take time to heal but hang in there. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHello Anne. What a nice tidy desk you have. Glad your tablets are helping a bit. Like you I don't get time in my busy day to start anything exciting. It just seems to go from one mealtime to another. Take Care. Hugs Rita xxx
ReplyDeleteSounds like your tablets are helping a little now. It's getting the balance right Anne....if you sit too long things seize up, if you're in too much pain you can't move......I'm pretty much an expert at the juggling game now. Try to take enough pain relief to allow you to keep things moving gently and I hope life gets a bit easier for you very soon.
ReplyDeleteBig healing hugs,
Annie # 51
So neat and tidy but hope you are up to messing it up a bit soon. Pain stops play and that's not nice, so I hope it eases soon. so many of us seem to be veering to yarn and fabric of late.

What a beautiful card, I love the colour and the flowers are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the life project too but I've not done anything about it yet.
Hoping you are feeling a bit better - it is so frustrating when you can't do the things you want to do and love doing. x Jo
ReplyDeleteG'day Anne. Happy WOYWW day to you. I'm a returning WOYWW after almost a years break. You are still being creative even if its not sitting at a desk. Sorry to see yr knee is giving you a hard time. I have the same problem but in both knees-sever loss of articular cartilage so I feel your pain. I've just tried 6 months of medications and intensive physio/hydrotherapy to no avail...so I stopped taking anything and chose getting very arty instead which distracts me greatly :)

Hello Anne! I'm back home from my travels and am back to reading and commenting on my blog friends blogs! I hope your knee stops hurting you. Hubby got his full knee replacement and is getting better every day. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's something about this time of year, I swear. It's hard to get motivated to do anything, at least it is for me. I'm constantly last-minuting everything!
ReplyDeleteI love those yarn colors, that turquoise is especially delicious.
I hope your knee feels better!
I'm glad to hear the knee is a little bit better, Anne. Don't fret too much about Mr. Moe Joe gone missing. I have found that being in chronic pain and/or being on meds will make him do a walk about. I'm so happy that you know how to do needlework so you have that to do which will keep you feeling creative. God bless. Big hugs, Darnell #26
ReplyDeleteMaybe your motivation and my motivation are somewhere sitting on a beach together?
ReplyDeleteHappy woyww!

#13 this week with
fairies, a please, and
a thank you!
I love that card, Anne. The pink and silver grey work so well together, very restful. Thank you for your visit today, and your kind comments. I t was a shame that it was so foggy for the weekend. The wind does not bother me, it is quite good at blowing away all the cobwebs that have built up in our minds. Does the weather affect how your pain is? My knees and shoulder have been particularly bad over the last couple of weeks. I really feel for you having to cancel that trip to Cornwall. I had to cancel last year, and I really need a good dose of watching rough seas. I hope you manage to get your dose of it soon. xx Maggie #28
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card, Anne. Glad you are able to knit and crochet, and trust your knee will soon be much better.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting - oodles of patience? not too sure about that - but we shall see - just been given the go ahead by the bride to go on to the real fabric!!!
Take care.

I think if you are in pain or imminent danger of being uncomfortable, then the Mojo definitely goes into hiding. I should stay safe on the sofa and do whatever takes your fancy! Hope yu can feel some improvement soon, poor you.
ReplyDeleteVery nice neat and tidy desk, Anne! I am glad to hear that your knee is a bit better but it does seem to be a long slow process, and a difficult balance between sufficient rest and keeping moving. I do hope you are fully recovered soon.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your lovely comment and I'm glad our naughty kitties made you laugh! They know my hubby is a soft touch and don't try this sort of thing on with me! I'm glad you like my knitting. Yes, it takes patience, but for certain things I do have patience, but not with everything lol! It's a long-term project and I don't really mind how long it takes, but having been in abeyance for a year while we sorted out the house move, I'm keen to get it finished now.
Happy WOYWW,

Sorry you've lost your mojo just now - I'm sure it will return as the pain goes. I had to smile when I saw that your area of the sitting room looks just like mine - my sofa seat surrounded by yarn and other projects! Hope you feel better real soon, and have a great week. Chris # 35 PS - love the card!! x
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that your Mojo will soon be up and running but for now rest is good! Do what you can when you can and try to relax! Chrisx 79
ReplyDeleteOh Anne, I know about knee pain. I have two metal beauties now, and NO PAIN!!
ReplyDeleteI can even shake a leg.Thank God we live in countries that can do this type of surgery.
Thanks for lovely visit.

For me crafting on the sofa is always an option - even if I'm not unwell ... so I'd just stay there if I were you! Looks like you've got a lot of creative options surrounding you - so no chance of getting bored.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to peer under my desk earlier [hope it didn't put too much strain on that knee!] ;-)
Julie
Lovely card there Anne despite the poorly knee but glad to hear the pain has eased a bit. I'm totally demotivated with this nasty cold so it might be a few days yet before I post off my SWAP. (It's similar to my DLP "enchanted" page) Thanks for the visit BJ#78
ReplyDeleteHi Anne... hope the knee is improving. Immobility would so not work for me. LOL Even as someone who sits at a desk most of the day. I'm doing the DLP as well. You'll see my pages in progress on my WOYWW post this week. Hopefully more exciting next week.. and that next week finds you feeling better. Creative Blessings! Kelly #82
ReplyDeleteHullo there Anne really love the card .. great design and well done on soldiering on!! praying for solution for you sooner rather than later, Happy WOYWW Shaz in Oz.x #30
