Have had a fab day. Went to first Sugar Craft class of Summer Term and we are going to make anemones, cosmos, sweet peas, fuchsias carnations - yippee love making flowers.
Might be taking a card making class this week- bit of a bone of contention at moment so we shall see - am not going to stress though. What will be will be.
If you look at my previous post you will see I finished the prayer shawl and a couple of cards.
So what's on my 'desk' at the moment?
I have been making a card for DH and DS of course. I manage to catch edge of stamp on DH's card. Trying to make the smudges into birds- can easily do butterflies but not sure if that's a bit girlie???? Yesterday was very frustrating as I also had problems with my pennant punch as I was trying to do DS's card!!!!
Had also managed to do quite a bit of organising re craft stuff. Have sorted stamps into sets which means haven't got to look through every single one to find what I want - still need to sort further but can't decide what to do.
Anyway if you don't know what WOYWW means pop over to the lovely Julia's blog and join in the fun.
Below you an see some drawers that I am painting - they are the wooden Ikea ones. Have been trying to decide for years what to do with them - have a germ of an idea
Also the start of DS's card.
Below DH's card with the butterflies/birds waiting to be sorted and the card itself finished!!!!
I will visit the blogs I follow, anyone who pops by my blog and leaves me a comment and those that end with same number as me.
Have fun everyone. Anne x
beautiful beautiful cards!

So your DH and DS share a birthday then, how cool is that? Great cards and we all have to cover up bits with other bit. Thanks for visiting me already, have drawn round the lettering on my New Year layout and made a few slip-ups but hey adds to the effect - LOL BJ#31
ReplyDeleteLove the cards ....that 'husband' one is brilliant ....as are the ones on the previous post ...and the shawl is lovely too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by ...I have just stated doing the rounds on here. Had to smile over the hair ...believe it or not 5 years ago my hair was about 4 times as thick ...I plaited it when wet to make it sort of curly and was shocked that it made one skinny tail when once it would have created 2 thick ones ...such is the aging process. xx58
love your cards and send wishes for Happy Birthdays to your DH and Ds. Left a message to tell you to pop back to my blog on an earlier post but meant to add it on this one... you'll see why!

Do you know, Anne, I really like your spotty craft bag...that's so gorgeous! I rather fancy that, lol!! And I love your bunting card, of course, as I have a soft spot for that form of decoration :)

I'd like a pound for every time I've done the same to a card I've been working on, Anne. Men like butterflies too - think of all those Victorian lepidopterists rushing around with their nets, many of them men :) I hope you got your punch to work again ... nothing worse that a sticking punch!
ReplyDeleteI've no idea where the time goes - my boy will be 43 later this year and still my most vivid memories are of him when he was a cute and cuddly three year old!
Have a great WOYWW and an enjoyable week. Elizabeth x #53
Love that punch. I have longed for the banner dies from Spellbinders. lol! BEAUTIFUL card. Happy Wednesday! SueC#93
ReplyDeleteSuper card for your husband - you could enter that into one of the challenge blogs this week as they are asking for trees - link can be found on my blog. Enjoy the rest of your week. Linda x
ReplyDeleteHi Anne,
ReplyDeleteNice cards! Organization is an ongoing thing with me. I manage to put things away and never find them again -- at least now when I'm looking for them!
I looked at your prayer shawl and it's beautiful!
Thank you for visiting me.
Happy WOYWW

I hate it when I have finished a card and then botch up by smearing something, or accidentally catching a bit of ink on it and having to add something extra to try and cover it up...it happens all the time with me. The corrections are looking good though. Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW. Caro xx #131
ReplyDeleteYour card looks so pretty.
