Well I hadn't actually got my card making stuff etc out properly from before Easter. I put everything away so that we could use the table as a dining table as both sons and their families were with us. So on Tuesday morning I needed to make a card for a swap so set to. Of course couldn't find anything!!! I seemed to create a lot of mess for one card, this is the resulting mess.
As you can see I have spread out all over (the now extended ) table
Ooooppps had to remove next one of actual work area as had left the card I was working on there and not sure if the recipient looks at my blog.
Above and below to the left of actual work area.
Will post pic of card I made when I know its been received.
I will visit everyone who visits me, blogs I follow and those ending with same number as me.
DH and I flew to Spain on 6th April with our son, D.I.L. and granddaughters. The flight was at 7.30 am so it was a very early start on a very cold morning!!!! Flight uneventful. It was amazing seeing bright sunshine, beautiful blooms and being on the beach, eating outdoors even sitting outside until late!!
Our villa was spacious and we had pool (though it was very cold) which I braved o last day, and fabulous views. Nerja is very hilly and we were a way up so I got a lot of exercise going up and down, sometimes tice a day. It was a shame that the villa could have done with some money spending on it. Apart from kitchen it had not been updated for a long time and our bathroom in particular was a bit ropey. However it did not spoil our week there.
It was lovely spending time with our son and family. The girls were very entertaining at times. We had a lot of fun having water fights- they thought it hilarious when Grandma squirted her 'boy' - my son with the hosepipe and even funnier when Grandma was squirted back.
It was a lovely, lovely time which I needed so much. Even though there are still some hills to climb now I'm back I feel better to have had sunshine, laughter and the joy of my granddaughters company for a whole week.
A little taste of Nerja!!!!
The pool
A view along Burriana beach - we watched locals take the boats out to fish.
We were sat out side waiting for lunch when I took this photo. We'd walked into the town of Nerja to the
The Balcón de Europa, a mirador or viewpoint which gives stunning views across the sea, is in the centre of the old town.
Looking along the Balcón de Europa - the little tot eyeing up the ice cream kiosk is my GD Phoebe.
Looking down from end of Balcón de Europa - still gives me a funny feeling looking at photo - I didn't hang around there long :-)
On our last evening we revisited a restaurant we'd been to before called Maria Bonita. Food presentation as stunning - and food fab. Below is my D.I.L's chicken salad!!!!!
Below the Paella that DS and I shared.
Flight back was not too bad till we got to East Mids and it was very windy and a somewhat bumpy landing !!!!
When we got back to car guess who'd left make up mirror light on!! Knew straight away we would have a flat battery - I was right :-) DH reacted quite well really. We had to wait for AA to come along and start car. So we spent an extra hour and a half in airport car park :-)
Trying to get back to reality now.
Have finished knitting a Prayer Shawl for my friend will post a photo when I have sorted out fringe etc.
Back soon Anne x
