WOYWW 398

Hello WOYWW  deskers, can you believe it's Wednesday again!!! It has flashed by. So what is WOYWW - if you really don't know, and want to join in the fun then visit here  The

Thank you for the kind comments last week. Especially re mum. The situation has not changed much and worries me greatly but there's not much I can do at present.

My blood pressure was even higher when I went for my health check  :-(  I was also worried re diabetes - but thankfully my blood tests revealed that I had not got that, more less everything else is wrong but grateful for small mercies.

So craft wise I am getting back into the swing of things. I made a card for my Mum for her birthday tomorrow. I'm not sure how pleased I was with it and I always feel that it is not as appreciated as some of the 'book like' affairs she gets from others, full of flowery words, but from people she hardly sees. Oh dear I sound somewhat bitter I'm sorry not what you are here for.

Above Mum's card - colours were more intense in real life. I embossed with Copper embossing powder - it is a lovely effect

.

Box of goodies from Stampin Up - new products!!! I was a bit naughty !!!!

I also put some chocolate hearts etc into treat bags and made some fancy tops for them. Used some new dies and stamps from Stampin Up.

Took them to our granddaughters on Saturday evening when we went for a lovely relaxing dinner :-)

I am working on cards for my next class and some swaps for an event next Monday - more next week.
Have been trying to organise a Craft Weekend - did I already say, but it has proved very difficult and have lost my enthusiasm and the 'will to live' re it all :-)

Have been using the stamps you can just seen in preparation for my class.

Above a clue to my swaps :-)

This morning I returned to Sugar Craft class after a long break - wasn't sure re going but decided to for a few more weeks. Did enjoy it.

So short and sweet ( I hope)  back next week all being well. I will visit all who visit me and those ending with the same number.

PS  Little Sausage was allowed home. Has to keep the feeding tube as he won't take anything otherwise. The truck he is sat in was bought for his little cousin for Christmas but he took a fancy to it :-) they opened presents on Sunday .

  1. I'm glad to see how perky your little sausage is.. I hope he can eat soon. I know how you feel about unappreciated handmade gifts.. it can hurt. I did so many craft shows over the years and although it was a memorable experience all I mainly remember is the eons of time spent in planning meetings, the mountains of money spent on making things and disappointing sales. Such is the craft business. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  2. Your crafting projects are admirable, Anne! I hope the circumstances that are challenging you will get sorted out soon. Happy Birthday to your mom tomorrow! I am cheering you on to good health and happiness. I think rain is washing our snow and ice away, but won't know till sunrise. xx

  4. I think your card is lovely and I HOPE your mum will appreciate the effort put in to making it over the ostentatious cards from people who can't spare the time to visit. Sorry to read of your health issues and hope those can be resolved soon too.

Enjoy your new goodies and Happy WOYWW

  8. Hope things look up for you soon. It sounds like you've got a lot going on. The card is wonderful. I really like it. I hope your mum appreciates but sometimes others don't realise the work and love that goes into handmade items. Just know you made it with love.

  11. Your mum's card is beautiful and I'm sure she appreciated it. I'm sorry to hear you've had health worries, I think you need to take some time out for yourself. Easier said than done but if you get ill, then that's no help to man nor beast. Take care and enjoy your new stash,

  12. Little Sausage is SO cute! Glad he was able to come home. I also have the problem with flowery words when I want them - I have even gone to the store and bought a card I liked, then cut out the words and used them on a homemade card! Maybe that will work for you too! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #47

  16. Oh my goodness, Anne, your card for your mum is absolutely stunning!! I wish I could make it bigger on my monitor. I am in love with the copper e/p, too! You are a good daughter in spite of it all and I find that inspiring!! And thanks for sharing that little cutie pie, so brave with his feeding tube! I hope that all gets sorted soon and for always! Keep your chin up, my friends, and your fingers inky!! (Oh, I should write that down, it's so profound!!) Lots of love and hugs, Darnell

  17. Such a sweet smiling little Sausage.. so glad he is home again x

I always find it extremely hard making cards for close family as they just put it on the windowsill with all the others without even a mention.. apart from my mother in law who genuinely marvels over it for a moment before it goes on the windowsill lol.

    Have a lovely week x

  23. Am sure your mum loved your card - and appreciated the time it took you to make it rather than pick one from the shelves. Know how you feel though as my son and his partner don't like my cards as how I try.
Hope little Sausage is ok and he certainly looks it on that truck.
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me whilst I am in a different time zone xxx

  24. It's a beautiful card and I'm sure your Mum will love it - but I do think sometimes people don't appreciate how much work goes into making them. I only hand make cards for people I know will enjoy them I have to say! I see you have that layered bear stamp there, I'm very tempted by that one :o) Annie C #53

  26. HI Anne - Thanks for stopping in, this week. Prayers sent for your mum and for you. The card you made for her is lovely. Yes, I've gone a bit overboard with the new Occasions catalog myself - but who doesn't when Sale A Bration is involved? LOL Look forward to seeing what you make. I link up with my crafting blog but my SU blog is a similar link. Just change out 'dreams' for 'stamping' and it will take you there. Creative Blessings!

I love Stampin Up! and have been a demo since 2008 but health issues are probably going to cause me to give it up. Sorry I am so late getting around but...I made it!!! Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my desk earlier! Vickie #54
