WOYWW 267

Hello it's that time again!!! A trip around the world via some fabulous crafty desks/spaces!!! WOYWW - don't know what I'm talking about then pop over to Stamping Ground  the home of Julia who started it all.

Well I really can't believe it's that time again. The weeks seem to be flying by!! As always I've been busy, visiting my Aunt, having a lovely pedicure, Church Fete with my lovely DH, DS, D.I.L. and gorgeous granddaughters, I've made a card and almost finished another, knitting - well trying to - have undone more than I've finished, had our younger granddaughter yesterday p.m. and then took both out for tea last night after school - an end of term treat, had my hair trimmed this morning and then to lunch with several ladies from sugar craft class. At the end of the year we go to the house of one of the members for a 'garden party' She has a beautiful garden and this year we were able to sit outside. We all take something for lunch. It was all so delicious and the garden was looking lovely. Ended up staying to chat until 5.30. It was lovely to see everyone again. I've not been to class since March - to begin with because of problem with my knee and after it became easier I had various appointments and so decided not to rejoin until September.
Oh yes also been trying to make a model of Olaf from the film Frozen - for a birthday cake I'm helping with.

Well I digress - to  my desk (aka dining room table) - it's a mess again!! The whole room is. I have cake decorating stuff out, card making stuff and I have been having a big sort out, moving things around and getting rid of things. Have a bit more to do yet so everything is in the dining room.

It doesn't look that bad in these photographs but that's because you can't see the rest :-)

Below is the card I made and have I just realised there are a couple of things not straight and I've forgotten the butterfly that was to go on it!!

I will visit the blogs I follow regularly, anyone who visits me and those ending with same number as me.
Back soon x

  1. Hi Anne,

It sounds like you had a lovely time with friends.

Your desk looks nice and creative -- from cake decorating to card making. I know how you feel about ripping out knitting! I ripped out a baby blanket once because I didn't like the size it turned into (bad math on my part).

The card you made looks great, even without the butterfly! tee hee. Isn't it funny what we notice once we download our photos!

    Happy WOYWW
Playing along this week but no number yet.

    Hugs,

Hope your knee is feeling better and I'm happy you have so much at your table ... It just mean you have been busy being creative... Love the card and can't wait to see your knitting :)

I've enjoyed my snoop today Anne and am chuckling at you only showing some of your 'mess'....do you really think any of us show the worst bits? Mine is really a state of ....'if you could only see it all!'....one day we will get moved and it will all find new homes but for now it's boxes all the way lol

  11. Hello Anne. What a week! Busy, busy, you. Trust the knee is holding up to all this activity and dashing around! Beautiful card, and fun looking desk. Well done on all the cake decorating - trust it all gets done for the right time.

  12. The garden party sounded lovely, Anne. It's always a treat to gather with old and dear friends. Speaking of old, your card is very lovely and bless her heart, I'm sure the birthday girl won't notice if things aren't perfectly straight. I'm a few years younger and I didn't notice!!

And you're right, your table doesn't look too bad, but if you had a smaller table, you'd be in a real pickle! Happy WOYWW! Have a wonderful week and thank you for the visit to my Playhouse! Good luck with Olaf! I'm sure he will be sensational! Hugs, Darnell #18

  16. Well, Anne, I think your desk looks very neat and tidy and organised! The church fete sounds fun.

Thanks for your visit and your nice encouraging comment. Forty years in the same church, esp. if you don't feel particularly at home there, speaks of tremendous loyalty and commitment! I can't see the majority sticking it out to such a degree! As for the diet, we need to stick at it even if the results aren't always as we want or expect - but in time these will be seen as the minor blips they are, on a graph with a good, generally downward trend! We need to encourage one another to keep going.

    Happy WOYWW,

  22. Thanks for popping by my blog earlier ... it was lovely having you visit! Gosh, am exhausted just reading your post this week ... such a busy lady but am glad you found time to craft that lovely 80th birthday card! It doesn't look wonky at all and is just as lovely without the butterfly! I have only just discovered Stampin' Up so have a whole new treasure trove to explore and I used to make wedding cakes with loads of sugarpaste flowers so know what a super time you must have at your sugarcraft classes. Am not a million miles from you either ... small world! Love Debbie #40 xXx

  23. So lovely to know you are having good visits with family and friends, Anne, and I'm especially glad your knee has been better. The tools of our creative pursuits may swamp us in clutter from time to time, but the creative process is joyous none the less, isn't it? Your card is elegant! [and I can imagine your Frozen model is
    wonderful :)] xx
