and I cannot believe it. The build up has not been easy for me . As you may know I was poorly for a while and have found it difficult to catch up.
Today I was up and had started doing various chores when my lovely DIL rang and asked if I was busy as they had thought of popping round. I am glad they did cos I had a wonderful time chatting, playing and drinking coffee laced with Bailey's (DIL and I - we only had one each - honestly) the girls played beautifully we listened to some music it was very relaxing.
Hope that you have all enjoyed your weekend and are ready for the 'big day'. I'm glad I took time out to reflect on the real reason for Christmas and enjoy simple pleasures- well sharing with my family was priceless. I don't know how I came to click on italics :-)
Let's see may have a photo or two.
Below my Mum's Christmas Cake - I went for rustic- I had to ice and decorate so quickly - apologies to the experts out there. The sugar flowers are not exactly accurate. BUT my cake is not even iced.
My angel - on my dresser - wonder what she's thinking?
My rather simple little village scene.
Hope you liked my simple photos.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE Anne x
