WOYWW

Gosh can hardly believe another week has gone by. Just about settled back into a routine after our week away.

I am sorry that I didn't visit many last week. I hope I did respond to all who left me a comment.

Crafting wise I have concentrated on a birthday card for a friend who will be 70 on Friday. All the plans she had now altered as she has been in an area that has been in stricter restrictions for a while. On top of  that her husband is unwell and has urgent colonoscopy on Saturday :-( so sad.

Also made a couple of thank you cards.

We go into Tier 2 as of 12 midnight. :-(  Whatever it takes.

This Friday I should have been joined by my friend Karen and set off to a Craft Retreat for the weekend. It all got put on hold, then it was going ahead and finally cancelled. I did not intend to go whatever, 14 people in a hotel for a weekend, I was not happy with the idea.

The lady who organised it has put it all together in a Kit and is delivering in time for  Saturday and we will get together via zoom. Should be fun.

So here is my space. Needs a good tidy up before Saturday!!!!

Very simple card

I am very late posting this but will visit desks - late again :-(

  1. Hello Anne, hope you are well. So many things have had to be put on hold or cancelled this year. I'm sure you will enjoy your zoom get together - who would have thought we'd all be getting so good at all this? As you say, whatever it takes. Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, Cindy #21

  2. Sounds like a much safer way of doing the retreat to me too Anne. I have been doing a few workshops this way and I have enjoyed all of them so far. Love the simple thank you card. STay safe. Sarah #3

  3. AH, but its the simple Ines that are often most effective Anne - i try to keep that in my head whilst I’m embellishing! A zoom get together will be fun - I dare to say its really a great way to do it because you dont have to pack all your stuff up and lug it about! Enjoy, it will make a lovely weekend!

  4. Hi Anne. Didn't find this last night - sorry - I switched off early... The thank you card is lovely - well done. Hope your friend has a special day despite all that is going on with her and her hubby. I don't blame you for not wanting to go on the retreat... things are not easy anywhere at the moment, are they? My elder daughter is already in Level 2 and will probably go into level 3 before long. Yup - she lives in Nottingham! On the other hand, my younger daughter is barely even in level 1 - their numbers are incredibly low. I'm in an area of stricter rules here in Conwy county - can't leave the county unless work or emergency calls. Oh well... as you say, here we go again. I hope you really enjoy your zoom meet up tomorrow.
    Take care. God bless.

  5. Hi Anne, we have indeed had most things cancelled this year- not been to a single craft fair, first time ever, I think. I think also you were very wise about the hotel, better to be safe than sorry.Love the card, and hope you enjoy your Zoom crafting! Stay safe, have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7X

  7. Sorry your get-together was cancelled, Anne, and I hope the zoom meet-up is successful. I'm sorry to hear about your friend's husband - that sounds worrying.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  9. I'm late this week as I was out in the garden all day yesterday and so on catch up today. Loving your card. Simple works for me. I think you have been very sensible, your health and safety comes first. Wishing you a very happy belated woyww, Angela x19x

  10. Dear Anne, Sorry to hear they are tightening restrictions but actually I'm jealous that your leaders care enough to do so. We have an idiot in our highest position here that has been a terrible example to his followers and now we're dying by 1,000 people a day due to his horrible behavior. So.. stay safe and be careful, my friend. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  11. Crafting 'online' is indeed the most safe thing to do at the moment, I too don't meet/see people much face to face, it's just too dangerous with elder parents who I visit often - no risks taken here either! Thanks for your visit to my blog last week. In the Netherlands there were stricter rules announced in order to get the covid-number down but I am allowed to stay working at location - pfew! That's a release! Stay healthy and happy! Love from Holland. Marit #2

  12. Just enjoyed catching up on your last few posts, Anne, and am so glad you were able to enjoy time with your family and away from home...even with the safety precautions. 2020 has definitely encouraged me to be braver using FaceTime and Zoom! It is so good to see folks and interact online and when I have been out getting groceries or meeting with small groups with masks/distancing. Those of our church knitting group who are able, really enjoy Zooming while knitting and crocheting! I am glad you are able to do some Zooming while crafting your cards as well! ❤️🙏
