WOYWW

Well I forgot last week until later on Wed. Thought I might post late but the moment went.

Have been working on my Class in a Kit almost all prepped. Have arranged for them to be completed, ready for collection by end of the month. They've been keeping me busy and sane.

Looked after granddaughters a couple of days last week - not all day.

We were supposed to have decorators in yesterday. Two lovely ladies, we used before. Had a call last Thursday to cancel. The mum of the duo has cancer. Stage 2, bowel, liver and lungs. So sad.

Anyway as we had braved going to buy paint and I had cleared out a lot of things from lounge Graham is having a go. He struggles now so going very slowly.

Have been pleased to have had some home grown produce from the garden. Tastes so good.

I am struggling with some family issues and of course missing mum. My sons, D.'s I. L  and grandchildren have been so supportive.

Also friends and my brother and family are always there.

We had the girls last Friday as our D. I. L. had a laparoscopy on Thursday. She needed to take things easy and though Jonathan there he is working. We went to Garden Centre for cake and drinks. Then I took Ella to visit Thelma - friend who is 86, very independent and very into card making. It was lovely watching/ listening to them chatting.

The girls made cards for their mum and then we had pizza for tea- their favourite! Afterwards they went skateboarding with Grandpa - he didn't do it! Lol! On their return it was strawberries and ice cream for pudding. We then took them home. A lovely afternoon.

Will do best to visit lots of desks. Why not join in? Click WOYWW button at the side.

I am trying to tidy up now prior to packing up kits.

Have some SU stuff to unpack - things for Christmas Kits :-)

The cards the girls made

Ella  is very careful and considered.

Phoebe just goes for it. Liked using my 'blingles' as she calls the embellishments. The sentiment she used was Blessed to know you, tickled me.

Was having a play with a stamp set and using long and thin card ( they seem to be all the rage at the moment.

  1. I'm glad you got to spend time with your grandchildren. That has been the hardest part of this virus - that and the stress of worrying we could get it and die a horrific death. Take care and be safe. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  2. Lovely to hear you've had time with your granddaughters. Focus on them and I'm sure they will help to get you through the difficult times. You know how to reach me if you need a chat.

  3. The cards are gorgeous - please let the girls know. We desperately need our hallway ( down and upstairs) doing. I usually do it but really don't want to now- nor do i want anyone in the house yet- so it is staying a mess. Hope Graham gets on okay. Hope you have a better week (((hugs)) . Soojay #22

  4. Hi Ann, so understand what you mean about the moment going- if I don't make WOYWW that's usually what's happened! Loved to see what the girls made = the zebra card is just lovely. Had to smile at grandad skateboarding. Sad news about the decorators - don't let Graham do too much though. Big hugs. Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, Cindy #2

  5. Oh dear, decorating, not easy when you don't really want to do it. I was the decorator in the family, now that I cannot do it we have to have someone in. It is finding someone you know will do a good job though isn't it? Guess the next thing will be to just have the sitting room re-plastered and then painted - he will do the painting, just not hang paper. Before that we need some new patio doors but half the problem with this covid is having people in the house. it has a lot to answer for!
Glad you had the grandees, I hope they help fill the empty space a little as only children can. A gorgeous zebra card and a highly amusing butterfly one. You have to smile don't you?
Thinking of you and thanks for the messages at weekend. Look forward to sitting together again in the future at a crop. Hopefully.
    Hugs, Neet 7 xx

  9. Your grandchildren made lovely cards. I love the zebra, is it a stamping up stamp? I have never seen a Stamping up catalogue, but I would like to know about the zebra x Angela #31

  15. It sounds as if you have been very busy with family and friends issues, Anne - so sorry to hear about the lady with the cancer. Having been through it I know what that is like, but I am one of the fortunate ones, caught in time. It is so lovely that you do crafting with your little ones and I had a smile at the difference between the 2 girls' efforts! So sweet. The little zebra image is so cute!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  20. I’m late again, sorry..the moment sure does go! Glad you’re able to have your granddaughters in your bubble...they are a loving distraction aren't they. They did a great job on the cards, hope their Mum is feeling better. I’m discovering that kitting a class is incredibly time consuming! I didn’t realise the long thin cards were so popular, I shall be glad when they aren’t - I dont seem to have many images that suit their proportion! Di have to smile when you said that Graham took the girls skateboarding - I did have an image I my head!! Doesn’t matter how slow, if he’s decorating, I take my hat off to him!!
