WOYWW

It's been a long time ........

Lots of reasons for my absence from my blog - nothing major or scary, just life. I also had problems trying to get onto Julia's Blog :-( - hopefully sorted now with help from the lovely Doug ( Shaz and Doug) and our son. I still can't link by clicking on side of my blog but at least I can get on.

I say lots been going on and there has but in the main it has been a different kind of busy.

I had my last class on the 14th March, was supposed to visit my mum on 15th march but it was decided it was not sensible and then the Home closed doors ( understood perfectly) to visitors on 18th.
Since the 17th March Graham and I have been nowhere apart from walks locally. Lots of kind people have helped with shopping. I am not complaining we are very fortunate. I miss the family. Jonathan, Sarah and girls pop past on their permitted walks but of course no hugging. We last saw Matthew and family in February :-(  thank goodness for modern technology - we have at least been able to keep in touch and 'see' each other.
It was a difficult time at the start - worrying about Matthew - he was on the front line and the more I heard about NHS staff dying ( and doctors in other countries) the more upset I became and didn't want to do some things. I feel a little easier about him and my D.I.L.now. Worry of course re all family - youngest son and family have all been at home, all well at mum's Care Home they are doing a wonderful job.

Crafting wise I initially made some crochet hearts plus sympathy cards for the ICU of my son's hospital ( he requested) then thank you cards for hospital staff. Also sent an array of cards to Mum's Care Home. Sent a food parcel to Matthew's in laws - things they couldn't get and I had managed to :-) donated hand cream and other bits and pieces - doesn't seem a lot when you write it down.

There were three birthdays, mine , Graham's and Jonathan's cards so cards to make for the men,a cake for Graham .

So to my workspace -

I have had a few items from Stampin Up's next catalogue and have been making some small samples for the ladies.

A few photos of makes and mentions above.
Probably too many - sorry Julia.

I think I had better stop there! Looking forward to visiting you and your desks.

  3. Hi Anne. Happy 11th anniversary. How lovely to see you on here today. So glad you are well and co[ping at this time. Yes, I'm sure it is very concerning to have a family member out there on the front line - we have several from church in that position. What an incredible array of cards and hearts you have made! Well done you. It seems a long time without seeing family, doesn't it? I stayed with my younger daughter for almost all of February as I helped after her op, but haven't seen the elder daughter and her family since Christmas... was due to see them all at the end of March/ beginning of April!! Glad folks are helping with shopping etc.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

  4. Glad to hear that all is well Anne. You have been busy with projects and they are fabulous. I love the hydrangea stamp, it is so pretty. My youngest son is working nights in a care home where they have Covid 19 so it must be scary. Happy that all is safe with your mum. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #15.

  5. Happy 11th Bloggyversary Anne, it's lovely to see you on the desks today as we celebrate 11 years of bloggy fun and friendship. It's great to see what you've been working on, lovely cards - and don't apologise, we get through these crazy days the best way we can. I'm glad you and the family are ok, it must be worrying when they're a key worker.
Hope you're keeping safe and well,

  6. What a bunch of amazing creatively cards and hearts. !!! I believe worry is one of the big items at the moment, because we never know where the virus is hitting. So one have to be grateful for little things this time. Thinking positively and hope it will be going the right direction. I am thinking of all the crafters and their family.

Thank you so much for sharing!

  14. Yes, these are scary times to live in and I can imagine you worry about your son being in the frontline, I would be worried also! The Netherlands are opening up now, but I am still afraid to go to the town centre, people all come out and it's quite crowded - I don't understand why everyone seems to 'forget' about the thread the virus still is... anyway, we are lucky to have our creativity to keep us busy, I love the cards you made! Happy anniversary dear one, stay healty safe! Big hug from Holland. Marit #32

  18. Happy bloggyversary! I am just getting round to the last 10 on Mr Linky. Your cards are so lovely Anne and what a fab thing to be making some of them for. Now, your hearts are really pretty. I have tried following the pattern on You tube but failed miserably. I am just hopeless at following the simplest pattern for crochet. So well done you. Stay safe and keep well. xx Jo

  21. Sorry I’m late Anne! I’m not surprised at all at your worry about your son and DIL, my goodness anyone would have been, I hope it’s easing slightly now, and hope that they both can at least rest which helps in the staying well scheme, doesn’t it. Your cards and samples are glorious, you’ve been incredibly busy! This is the second blog that’s featured that new punch, I’m off to have a proper look, I can’t bear it when I think I may be missing out on something!
