WOYWW

Thank you for the kind comments re mum and my Aunt last week.
Mum ok and I hope to see her soon.
My Aunt is moving to a Nursing Home for respite, she really needs it full time. I will do what ever is needed re her but things are not easy and you need to know her and situation to truly understand. Her reasons for not telling my brother were unkind and spiteful - but life goes on and you deal with it.

My desk, is slightly staged. I had just finished the cards you see ready for posting today so put them on my workspace to share.

I look forward to visiting others later.

  1. I'm glad you're ok - wh knows, maybe she'll enjoy the respite more than she cares to admit and it may turn into full time care? Lovely work on your desk, you always have such great projects on the go.

  2. Lovely cards and sometimes life is too busy to get around to posting the best shot. I try to drop into woyww monthly as the weeks just fly by far too quickly. Have a lovely week.

  3. Well I like a bit of staging Anne! These cards are lovely, am quite sure the recipients will be very chuffed. Love that you have real youngsters still in your orbit! Take heart at the fact that you’re a nicer person than me, if my Aunt were to be deliberately spiteful all the time, whatever the story, I would stop doing even the basics for her. Take a pat on the back Anne, seriously.

  4. Love the cards you've been making but am so sorry to hear how you're struggling with family life. I really hope the situation works out well for you and your pressures ease very soon.

  5. What lovely bright cards you have for us to see today, thank you Anne.
I know how difficult old people can be, I went through a tough old time years ago with my aunt who lived on her own and was basically very lonely. I did the best I could by her, it was not ideal but there is a limit as to what one can do. If you feel like a chat just get in touch. I am a good listener.

  8. Hi Anne, beautiful cards. Is the number 4 a die cut - I love the font. Ah, as you say, without knowing the background and the person it's difficult for anyone to understand the issues you are going through with your aunt. You can maybe take some comfort that you are doing/trying to do the right thing by your aunt, but circumstances beyond your control are preventing this. As you can't change that, then focus on enjoying your visits with your mum - and making beautiful cards. Have a lovely week Heather xx #6

  9. The cards look fabulous Anne. Hope your Aunty realises that she needs to be in long term care rather than just respite. Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #1

  10. You cards look great! Nice and bright and spring-like. Hope things get better with your family, but you can only do what you can do. I learned long ago not to take things personally, that you just don't know where those things are coming from, the background as you said, and so not taking things personally gives you the freedom to do what you can to help in whatever way that is. Have a great week, Lindart #22
