WOYWW 392

Hi there. Gosh that week went by very quickly. At times I think I'm getting on well with preparations for the big day and then start to panic :-) I have most cards to write and presents to buy yet!!!

Thank you for all the lovely comments re my great nephew and my Craft Fair makes. Sadly during this last week Alexis ( great nephew ) has had a seizure. He's out of hospital and ok and waiting for an EEG. So worrying for everyone.

So to my desk. I have been finishing a few cards off and making some for a swap. As if I don't have enough to do -  like to be busy.

So to my desk/dining table.

I am trying to make a staircase card as made by Amanda of The Craft Spa - she makes some beautiful cards etc.

A bit further along you can just about see some holly stamped ready for cutting out.

Just see one of my swap cards peeking out, show you them next week.

If you want to know more about WOYWW then visit Julia's Blog The Stamping Ground and do join in. I will visit as many as I can and all who visit me.

Other news

I spent a lot of last week tidying up and doing some shopping, putting a few decorations up - still lots more to do :-)  However on Friday night I went to my friend's house. There were fifteen of us for a 'Pink Party' raising money for cancer. We had fabulous food and such fun.

The table - before we sat down :-)

On Saturday I collected another friend from the local station - she lives in Witney and had come for a Christmas Weekend. We went out to lunch and then on the evening went to a concert. There was a choir - my friend ( from Friday) is a member - it's an amateur group but they were very good and it was such fun. There was also a ukelele group as well. The choir teacher is so enthusiastic and such fun - I can't sing but am tempted to join !!!

On Sunday we went and had lunch - again :-) but very light one. Did a little shopping and then home. Settled down with mulled wine and later a Chinese take away. She went home yesterday ( Monday ) lunch time. Had a great time catching up with each other. We have been friends for over 50 years.
Hope all your preparations are going well.

I'm sorry but I couldn't leave a comment last week on a couple of blogs.

  4. WOW, you have had a busy but so enjoyable time. Your pink party looks fabulous, what a lovely idea.
I hope we get to see the staircase card as I haven't ever heard of one and the photographs have not made me any wiser. I can see you like to be busy with all that you have ahead of you - enjoy!
So sorry to hear of your great nephew, he is such a beautiful baby, it must be a very worrying time for all of you, especially his parents. I pray that the little one recovers from this latest seizure and that his ECG shows his heart is functioning ok.
    Hugs, Neet 2 xx

  5. Hi Anne, I too need to write my cards! We also need to get the tree put up, lol. Back from appt, still not got a date! Surgeon not in clinic, saw a registrar, who has to speak with the surgeon about a date, so not exactly a happy bunny. Does look like it may well be mid Jan, as they have no surgery list next week, and then it's Christmas week. Oh well, it is what it is, and thats all. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz xxx

  10. Your pink table looks so lovely Anne :) I used to be one of those people who was done and ready for Christmas by the first of the month and I just laugh at my self over that one, I think the saving some for the last minute makes me savor it all just a little bit more I think. (it may be a mental thing) :) So, anyways don't feel too bad I am still making cards and buying gifts here too. ~Stacy #25

  14. Thanks for your visit and kind words. My great niece 8 has been doctoring with seizures. Meds are helping her, but my Daughter in Law has had this issue 2 yrs. 1st yr to Iowa City and this year to Rochester, where she had one while in her room. But they cannot pin point it. Scary, You mentioned your brother"s Dec 18 birthday We share the day !!! Oh the wind is howling and below zero with the chill factor. We are lucky no snow as yet. You have had an exciting busy week. Lots of fun times. Hope you get time to get the holiday stuff in order, seems never soon enough. Best wishes for your great nephew.
