Last week I did actually write a post and took a photo of my work space (s) but I tried to do it via my phone and then when I came to link it had all disappeared and I didn't have chance to try again as I was up to my eyes in finishing off stuff for The Craft fair. A friend had asked me for some things, offered to take them for me ( her cousin had organised it and she went to support her) Well I spent the two weeks after my class doing practically nothing but craft for this Fair. I actually sold more than my friend and another lady but it was not masses. I am left with a lot of stuff that I don't know what I am going to do with. So this time it really will be my last. Too much time spent for too little reward, and I am out of pocket. I also stressed a lot and am now very behind with other things. I enjoy making the stuff but it is so disappointing. I have almost finished tidying up my craft space, aka dining room from the All Day Class and Craft Fair makes so not a lot to see really. I still need to make some more Christmas cards so leaving things ready in case I can get in there. Crazy as I will end up having to buy them.

Above four examples of makes for the craft fair.

Some photos of my makes as i was putting finishing touches- not best photos :-(

Do you remember me talking about my Great Nephew and his very difficult start to life? Well Saturday was his Naming Day. He is such a little cutie. He is inquisitive, alert and has such a lovely smile. His future is still uncertain, but then it is for many children. There was some brain damage, only time will tell the extent of that and how it will affect him.

If you would like to know what WOYWW is and why I am showing you mine then pop along to Julia's Blog the founder of WOYWW.
I am looking forward to popping by lots of desks this week. More time thankfully.

  1. So sorry to hear about the craft fair....been there done that and like you I won't be doing it again. I still have things left over from the last craft fair lol. Hope you have a better week and manage to get your cards made.

  2. Commiserations about the craft fair, to be honest that's why I gave up doing them. People just weren't prepared to pay.... never mind, I still enjoy making and charities benefit. Your Great nephew has a gorgeous smile, what a lovely pic!

  3. I am sorry to hear about your Great Nephew, what a lovely baby he is and what an engaging smile. I hope they are wrong in their diagnosis but if there has to be something please let it be minimal. I will put him in prayer.
Sorry also about your fair, things have to be given away these days. Been there and given up.
    Hugs, Neet 2 xx

  4. Hi Anne, your nephew looks such a cutie! Shame about the craft fair, totally get why you won't do any more. the trouble is too many people not charging what the products are actually worth, makes it harder for everyone else.Have a lovely week,Hugs,Shaz #10 xxx

  5. People do not appreciate all the work that goes into craft and they always expect to buy it for nothing. Beautiful little pic of your great nephew. Hope all goes well for him.

  6. So many goodies and so well organized! Sorry the craft fair didn't work out - perhaps the even wasn't well marketed? I don't even try to sell my stuff. Once you put the materials and your time in them, there's not much profit to be made. Your great nephew looks incredibly cute - sorry to hear he had a bumpy start in life - hope it works out ok in the end. These little guys are very resilient and can defy medical science. Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #22

  7. I'm sorry the craft fair didn't turn out the way you had hoped. It seemed like you put in such a lot of work for a little return. So sad. I don't think people realise how much work goes into a fair.

    Happy WOYWW

  8. I hear that about craft fairs a lot... such a shame after all the effort you went to... Love your great nephew, wishing him a good life! Helen #1

  9. Sorry to hear you lost the battle (temporarily) with technology and lost your pix; the ones you shared are fab though - best of luck with the craft fayre

    Happy WOYWW

  10. I am also sorry about the effort you put into the Craft FAir. Over here in Australia it seems the same. I recently had a stall, but I was selling stamps, papers etc and cheaply.I sold most of my stuff, and donated the money to my fav charity. Hope you can get back to happy crafting from now on.

  11. Oh what a disappointment with the crafty fair, Anne, you had some lovely things that's for sure.
I pray that you have time fir some cards fur Christmas, and also your cute little great nephew has minimal brain damage, he looks so bright and alert.
    Thanks for sharing,

  12. Shame about the craft fair, I can sympathise - I stopped doing them when I realised I was calling it a good day if I managed to make my table money back!! You have some beautiful goodies there but I'm sure people think if things are home made you should almost give them away for a fraction of their worth.
Wishing your little Great Nephew all the luck in the world - what a cutie!

  13. Happy Belated WOYWW. It is very late at night to be sitting down with my laptop, but had another busy day. I have revised my plans for presenting Tarot readings in handmade books, ie I will not be! The amount that people will pay for my additional time and the materials would not make any profit at all. I am sticking to email readings. I used to make cards for clients - but it was rare that I would get paid enough to really cover costs. Ali x #29

  14. I'm so glad to hear your great-nephew is doing better, what a relief for your family! I did the same for YEARS.. making things for craft fairs, spending a fortune of money and time on making things that did not sell. Never again. The only things I make now are for myself or gifts. Looks like you made some neat things.. just give them for gifts!

  15. Been there and done hat with the craft fairs! Sometimes they are a total bust and other time your can't bag and make change fast enough!! I'll be doing them again next year.Have a great week! Ginny#45 WOYWW

  16. Dear Anne, I just had a long visit with you through scrolling back through your posts that I have missed until now. I am so sorry that your husband and you were ill. I am fighting off a virus...not too wretched, thankfully. I am glad that your last class was a success and am sorry that the craft fair was not worth all you invested in it. [my one venture participating in a craft fair ended with no sales for me] Your great nephew looks like such a sweetie! Sending you good wishes, no germs, and lots of hugs :) xx

  17. Hi Anne, Sorry I've been a stranger and I'm sorry that the craft fair was a bit of a washout. Maybe a hospital or nursing home could take your left-overs, so you don't have to store them. It's a shame, but it would be a shame not to have someone enjoy all that hard work and talent you put into your creations! I hope your Mum is doing okay. How perfect to come by just when you had a new photo of the Pipsqueak! What a cutie! He sure looks bright-eyed so I hope you find out the damage is very minimal. Lots of love and hugs, Darnell (Since you don't have a Follow by Email, I don't get notice of your posts in my inbox, but I've subscribed to you via Bloglovin, too, so maybe I won't miss so many!)

  18. There are times when craft fairs are just such a waste of time. I'm doing one this coming Sunday, but I suspect it might just be my last. I'm going to go online only from now on.

Hope your week is being good to you - your little munchkin is just adorable despite all his troubles.

I love receiving comments and promise I will read them all.

Hello all. I have missed you as yet again I have been missing! Sadly on 8th January Mum was taken into hospital. At first told pneumonia, ...
