WOYWW

Hello all. So what have I been up to since my last visit - if you are really interested it's in the previous post :-)

On Sunday I went into B'ham to meet the lovely Darnell!!! She is such a joy. Exactly as she comes across on her blog. She met with us at B'ham Grand Central. I also met Shaz ( Silverwolf cards),Chris - Cardius Bloggus ( Bishops mate), Ang, Mrs Duck from The Ducks Doodahs, Donna from Room in a cupboard, Maggie from Silver Crafter. There was also Ang's friend Kussum and my friend Marion ( Miriam :-) ) we all had a lovely lunch together and of course chatted away for four hours!! It all went by so quickly - it was a super way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Thank you Darnell for inviting me along and thanks to everyone else for your great company. Also many thanks to Julia who started WOYWW - if I'd not visited and joined in I would not have made and met some lovely friends.

I am at the back on the right hand side.

So to my desk -

I have been preparing for my Crafternoon Tea and then the following Saturday the repeat of my All Day class. Here I was having a go at a card I saw in the Stampin Up catalogue- mine will be slightly different. I really like this stamp set, thinlets and paper. Have been making up various samples.

I have been making a card for a swap - will save that for next week just in case the recipient pops by.

I have made a couple of cards,

This one was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest - I changed a couple of things.

And another

I will visit as many desks as I can , all who visit me and those ending in same number.

Today I went to Sugar Craft - last class of the term- when I have finished putting everything together I will share it.
Afterwards we went to my friend Thelma's ( remember I mentioned her back in June when it was her 82nd birthday), Each year to mark 'end of term ' she holds her garden party. We all take something to eat and we get to look around her amazing garden. It is huge with an amazing collection of plants and shrubs.Apart from having someone come once a year to cut back large shrubs and trees she does it all herself.

There was also a delicious chocolate cheesecake!!!! We were very full afterwards and it did nothing for my diet!!!!
Hope you have enjoyed sharing my week. Hope to be back next week!!! Will try and remember some photos of Crafternoon Tea :-)

  7. You have been busy. It's great to follow Darnell's progress around the country and to see so many familiar faces.
What a beautiful garden your friend has, I am very envious, and to be able to do it all herself, that must take some work. You certainly have been having a lovely time this week. Thanks for sharing such beautiful photos, I've enjoyed my visit.

  9. Happy WOYWW. You have certainly had a lovely week. Your friend's garden (and the food) looks stunning. I dream about having a lovely garden again - our's is mostly just weeds and rubble left from the farmhouse renovation. Ali x #26

  10. Hi Anne, was lovely meeting you in person! Aren't crafters the nicest people ever? Whenever any get together, they get on alike a house on fire from the word go. Like you, I've made so many good friends thanks to our beloved Julia. Loving what you've done, I too like taking a Pinterest card and doing something similar, but different. Gorgeous photos from the Garden Party, wonderful garden indeed. My diet would have gone out the window with chocolate cheesecake too! Have a great week, Hugs Shaz #24 xxx

  18. What a gorgeous garden - gives me inspiration as my one acre plot is getting to be too much. If she can do most of the work, then so can I. (by way of Teresa Kasner's blog)

  19. I'm so jealous! I would love to be able to visit a bunch of you for a fun crafternoon! The garden party sounds and looks amazing! I have no green thumbs, fingers, or toes. I am allergic to just about everything outside, so my yard has as few plants as possible with lots of paving stones. But I just love beautiful gardens with gorgeous flowers...they just don't like me. ;) Jen (My Scrap Menagerie) #46
