Where does the time go????

It has been ages since I posted. I wonder if I was missed - probably not methinks!! I usually join in with WOYWW on Wednesdays but I knew I would be unable to visit others as I was really busy on last few Wednesdays.
So let me think what have I been up to since the 21st June ??????

From the 23rd June until the 26th I was at my friend's in Witney. It was her birthday and it is the first time I've been able to spend her actual birthday with her. As she was out for a birthday lunch with her sisters we stopped off in Moreton in the Marsh for a yummy lunch and then stopped in Stow on the Wold for an ice cream - our pudding :-)

Delicious lunch !!!!

We had drinks and nibbles on arrival at my friends and exchanged presents - we still had Christmas presents for each other!!!!
On the Friday we went into Witney for a mooch around and then on the evening we went back into Witney and had a delicious Italian meal.
Saturday saw us at a local garden centre - we had cake and coffee there :-) then that evening my friend cooked Boeuf Bourguignon AND WE OPENED SOME FIZZ.

I seriously need to go on a diet!!!!

Back at home saw me doing a quick class for a lady who'd missed one and also a play day at my Stampin Up's house - lots of fun.

On the 6th July DH and I went to see Mama Mia at Birmingham Hippodrome - loved it and we were dancing in the aisles at the end along with nearly everyone else :-)
Afterwards we walked into Brindley Place to see our D.I.L. - she was there for a youth music festival - selling ice cream from her vintage ice cream van - we also listened to some beautiful signing,

Betsey - the Vintage Ice Cream Van!!!

On 13th July we were up early to go up to Yorkshire to see our eldest grandson in his end of year production - he was Hansel - his last ever production as he has now left Primary School :( It was super!!

A bit of a blurry shot !!!

Here he is before his evening performance.

Left Thursday morning and travelled back via scenic route instead of down the M1 - beautiful scenery.
Home for a couple of days and then back u to Yorkshire for Grandson Sam's 9th birthday party and eldest Grandson's Leavers Assembly - very emotional. We had a really lovely weekend but it was sooooooooooooo hot!!!

The gorgeous birthday boy. Happy Birthday Sam,

Harry with mum and dad after the assembly

We got home Tuesday evening and I've not done a lot since !!!! ;-)

I am preparing for two classes - Crafternoon Tea and then a repeat of my All Day Class - some ladies missed it and wanted to do it so I fixed another date. I have prepared 14 kits in total !!!!!
I have been crocheting and doing sugar craft as well - more of that another time. Also been looking after grandchildren - who said retirement would be boring :-)

There was a lot more but didn't want to bore you :-)

Hopefully back next week for WOYWW

  1. I did miss you, and was wondering what was what, and now I know...busyness! I'm glad you have had great times with family and friends since you last checked in and that your business is rolling along well, too. I am glad you get to spend time with your handsome grandsons...and one a buddy actor :) I just got photos of my oldest grandson in NY who graduated from 6th grade. Our grand boys are growing fast, Anne! xx
