WOYWW

Happy New Year - again. The first WOYWW of 2016 - where did 2015 go? If you've not joined in before click on the WOYWW button on my side bar and find out what it's all about.

The decorations are all down - though not all put away. They are all upstairs though waiting to go in the roof space. I have had a sort out and need to buy one more plastic box as that's how I'm storing them - keeps them clean and dust free.

I have got my crafting table cover back on and started to put out crafting tools etc. I've not done any crafting for a while - once I'd made everything for the Craft Fair I had to concentrate on other things in preparation for Christmas. I had to buy some Christmas Cards in the end. I also lost my enthusiasm a bit after the pressure of items for selling !!!!

Anyway here was my desk/aka dining table starting to look ready for action - this was a little earlier this afternoon.

The far end of table with last presents to go to their homes :-)

I sat looking at it for quite a while - and trying to come up with some ideas for my first class of 2016. I've only just decided to carry on with them - still a bit unsure about carrying on :-( we'll see how things go.

Had a little play - wanted a small gift box for lip balm - always try and make a 3d item as well as cards.
Have a basic shape - now need to decide colours I'm using. I am waiting for my Stampin Up order to come - some pretty papers in it. Can't wait. Also made a sketch of one of proposed cards and some notes.

Hopefully there will be a bit more to see next time.

I will visit all who visit me and those ending with same number as me.

We enjoyed a very quiet New Year's Eve . DH was unwell so we stayed in. Had a lovely Chinese take away - we were going to have some bubbly at twelve but I didn't feel very well so we have saved it for another time.
Hope that 2016 brings you health and happiness.

  1. There seems to have been a lot of illness around over the festive period Anne. We need a few good hard frosts to kill some of the bugs I'm sure.
Really hope we can all have better health and lots of creative fun time in 2016.

  5. Hi Anne :) Thanks for visiting my blog earlier. I was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for a little over 10 years before finally moving on to other arts. I understand what you are saying about struggling with classes and selling at craft fairs. It can all make you get a bit tired. Now I just create stuff for me and a few friends. I do miss the constant fun orders coming to the house though! I love SU! products! Shel/PaperOcotilloStudio #14

  6. Trust the parcel arrives soon so you can play with colours and papers. Your classes always sound as though everyone has a lot of fun, but I can imagine all the work you need to put in to prepare. Hope you are oth feeling better now - and ready to face 2016.
Thanks for the visit and the comments. John is doing so very well, but I don't think the medics can believe it - they keep coming round and asking how things are! I know that another infection and we could be back where we were two weeks ago - but I am seeking to simply live in the present and enjoy what time we have.
    Take care. God bless.

  11. I'm so glad to see you craft on the dining room table like I do - sometimes I feel like the only crafter on earth who doesn't have a dedicated crafting space! Looking forward to seeing what emerges from your plans

  12. I had planned to visit sooner, but right after I linked to Julia, my electricity went off. It came back on a short time ago, so now I'm trying to catch up with everyone.

I held one craft fair in my home one year around Christmas, and I can assure you it was a mistake. One woman kept calling it a "garage sale" and wanted me to reduce my prices. I decided never again, so I can understand your love of the craft, but need to find some ME time, too.

I hope both you and your husband are feeling better now. Thanks for visiting me while I was freezing in the dark (sad, but true). Happy WOYWW on Thursday from #1.

  14. Well you are already making good progress into the new year, Anne. My sister is flying in today so I left up my Christmas decorations and am looking forward to almost a week visiting with her. I hope you and your husband are well now and that you have a happy, healthy 2016! xx

  15. Happy New Year Anne. Nice to see that you're going on with the workshops, after all, you can stop at any time, just don't be flattered into it for others sake!
