WOYWW

What it's Wednesday - again? You can't be serious! I cannot believe another week gone.
I have been frantically making final preparations for my class on Saturday. Also made George pig out of sugar paste for a friend. Organising things for my Grandson's birthday and a cake for early celebration of DIL's birthday plus their cards!
Today was our Sugar craft Group's Garden Party. We all take food to home of one of our members and enjoy her beautiful garden. We actually sat inside but did manage a trip around her garden during a break inbetween showers.

I didn't get much done yesterday(Monday) I had a problem with ingrowing toe nail which decided to really play up while I was asleep on Sun eve. I woke at 4am - it was very sore . Couldn't sleep again - the infection seemed to be spreading up my toe. I did have a chiropody appointment and I think it's sorted! Felt decidedly unwell all day!

Look away now if squeamish!

Do you remember me preparing for Craft Fayre - well it didn't happen. I did ring and ask and the person I spoke to told me she'd been told not to worry about it and it was being sorted out. She said there had been no advertising etc- I decided then to pull out - good job as it didn't happen! I feel that no one would have actually got in touch - I'm not impressed. So my hearts and horseshoes and some other bits are in a box waiting for a home.

To my desk - sorry I've been a bit long winded today!
Two views of my working space waiting to be tidied! Third photo just some of my examples of what you can make using the envelope punch board.

The ladies in my class have requested a class making something other than envelopes using the envelope punchboard so I have been making examples. They will make two cards, a treat pouch and a box. Will put them on next week! Bye for now will visit as many as I can. If you want to join in with this highly addictive desk hop click button on my sidebar and find out how.

  1. Ouch Anne you toe sure looks sore. I really hope it improves very very soon for you so you can get on with your busy life pain free. That garden looks amazing....mine's still much like a building site but we have managed to sort out a few areas now.

  8. Hi Anne. Oh your poor toe!
The Garden photos are gorgeous. Sorry to hear about the sale but you definitely did the right thing since they haven't advertised or anything.

I thought of posting a picture of my knee but decided against it. Yikes. It has been one month since my knee replacement and I'm having good and bad days. I hurt my ankle doing some of the exercises so its swollen also which doesn't help. Thank you so much for checking in on me, I really do appreciate it. I just haven't felt like getting on the computer or doing anything crafty even. Maybe in a few weeks I'll be back to semi normal.
    Hugs

  10. Your as busy as ever - ouch that infected toe looks really sore. Thing is, once something awakens you, that's it, my doc says if its painful enough to wake you, you need medical attention. I so hope the chiropodist was able to sort it..keep an eye out for that infection though! Love the boxes and the preparation pictures, that will make a lovely workshop. Like you, unimpresed by the craft fair problems...Ithink a lot of people think tht they're easy to organise and a potential goldmine for funding...and then discover that to publicise and advertise is expensive and jolly hard work. Hope you'll be able to find a couple of tables to se;; you 'stock' of!

  11. What lovely pictures of the garden, Anne, but oh you poor dear with that very sore toe! I hope it clears up very soon and you are back to yourself again. All the gorgeous things you are making with your envelope punch board.... I should really get to grips with mine and explore its potential a bit more too! Thank you for such a sweet comment - you may feel helpless but your words are so kind and supportive, and make such a huge difference! I know what you mean about counting your blessings - I do this constantly! My mum sounds exactly like your aunt - she's 94 and the most selfish person I know, and is always moaning about this and that. She is the fittest person in her residential home and has so much to be thankful for, but turns everything around and makes it all about "her" in a very negative way. Life is so precious and we have so much to be thankful for, and if you think like these selfish old people, there is no happiness in that!!!

Your prayers mean so much to me. Thank you.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  13. Owie on the toe! I hope you gave it a good soak in Epsom Salts water. Lovely garden pics. You guys just know how to be sociable in the UK. Thanks for showing your samples. Envelope punch board is next on my list and knowing I can do something besides envelopes with the tool is encouraging! Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #41
