WOYWW 272

Hello everyone and here we are another WOYWW . Wondering what it's all about? Pop over to Julia's Blog  and find out - oh and join in do.

Thank you to everyone who popped by my blog last week and left lovely comments I appreciated them so much.
Had a slightly more restful few days since last Wednesday. On Thursday I shopped, tidied and made sure DH had ironed shirts etc. I geared myself up for my arthroscopy on Friday. Then at 5.30 on Thursday evening a phone call from hospital my appointment was cancelled!!! :-( so now waiting for another. Very frustrating as we'd made all sorts of arrangements around it all. ) So everything back in the melting pot. Still I know it could be so much worse.

I have managed more paper crafting so that's been good. Mainly prepping for my next class ( if it goes ahead - depends on that appointment. I've made a lot of mistakes working it all out - sometimes wonder if I'm cut out for taking classes. I sort of design as I go along. Usually get an idea from Pinterest etc and then try to do my take on it. Trouble is I have to try it out and get it wrong and so waste card etc. Only way I can do it though.

So here's my space this week.

Space I've been working in. All self explanatory really.

Below a view down the table!!! Most of stuff there I've been using for class prep. The box contains Christmas Stamps - my non Stampin Up ones.
In bottom right you can just see bit of order that arrived today :-) can't show it yet as it contains some of Christmas goodies.

I also spread out to the window sill :-)

Well that's it for this week - not terribly exciting is it.Hopefully put some makes on next time - can't show them just yet.

Will visit everyone who visits me and those who end in same number as me. Bye for now x

  1. I'm the same Anne, create a lot of scraps in trying to work out a card. Love the view of your desk, I don't visit just to see finished cards you know! Nice ink colour in the top photo. Seems all of us workshop givers are working on Christmas by now. Sigh.

  2. It's a complete pain when hospitals cancel your appointment....they'd kick up a huge fuss if it was the other way around!
I like your space this week, it's good to see work in progress. I think you're very clever seeing an idea and then adapting it :-). I'm glad the bag is still going strong!!

  4. Glad your week has been lass hectic - but, oh, what a disappointment is a cancelled appointment! Trust your new appointment comes through suitably quickly and at a time which doesn't clash with your class!!
As you can probably guess by the fact that I am here on a Wednesday, visiting folk, the wedding finery is all done. YES!!! Just a trip into Llandudno in a few minutes to find myself a blouse the right colour for the skirt I have made.... Hubby's waistcoat is done, so just me now. Never thought I'd make it - but got there!
    Take care. God bless.

  5. I love how colorful everything looks on your work desk. Have fun at your card class, but don't give up figuring things out on your own. Happy WOYWW and Blessings!

  8. Hey Anne, thanks for swinging by and leaving such a lovely comment. I relayed your comments to Ma - she is most pleased about all the lovely feedback on her chairs. Love your busy desk this week. Re: waste - I recently met a lady who reminded me, it's not a waste..it's perfecting :) Cx #43

  9. What an absolute pain, the hospital messing you around like this. One often hears such things, but so far, our local hospital is brilliant on all fronts! You've got lots of lovely stash to work on there.

Thanks for your lovely comment - yes, not an easy card to make, and I've put a lot of thought into it. I should have done some today but ended up not doing any - feeling rather tired, and trying to catch up with emails, blog posts etc.!

    Happy WOYWW,

  10. Hi Anne, love that spotty work cloth on the table. We all have 'try out' samples....and for me now I just use scrap paper for mine....yes too much waste, or those awful colour card pieces that if they work out you can disguise under patterned paper. Happy WOYWW and thanks for visiting my desk, cheers RobynO#21

  11. That was a lovely visit today, Anne, with lots to entertain my eyes! I am so sorry that your appointment was cancelled. I hear that all the time from my friends there and I can't begin to imagine the upheaval and trouble that causes folk. It is so inconsiderate. I hope the next time it goes through and all goes well!! Thank you so much for the visit to me!! Happy WOYWW and have a great week!! Hugs, Darnell #19

  12. Hi Anne,

I hope your test is soon re-scheduled and all goes well.

Your desk looks nice and used and waiting for action! I know I've said this before, I love your polka dot table cloth! Oh, and the yellow mug on it really looks great. I could see a card using those colors.

Years and years ago I was a Stampin'Up demonstrator (oh, maybe 15 years ago) and it was always fun to come up with projects. Back then they had ideas in the catalog and at the back of the catalog they had listed all the products they used. Pinterest wasn't around back then but I love it!!

Thank you for visiting me earlier. I'm later than what I expected.....
    Happy WOYWW
