WOYWW 256

Hello everyone and here we are again! Where did I hear you ask - you don't know about WOYWW ( well ok I am posting this on Tuesday as will be a tad busy tomorrow) well pop along to  Julia's Blog - The Boss of WOYWW and find out more and join in!!!!

Thank you for all the lovely comments last week. I didn't make the wreath - I wish I had. The card you all liked was cased - hope you noticed I said so :-)

Re my knee - saw the consultant today. Yet another different opinion. To cut a long story short he thought it needed further investigation. Meanwhile I had steroid injection in the knee :-( and am to have a scan to hopefully tell them more. I was not really happy. I waited an hour to see him they were running very late. There were still lots waiting after me and I felt I was rushed a bit at the end. Anyway we will see :-(

Well the place where I usually work AKA the table is cleared as is a lot of the rest of my craftroom   dining room :-) so there are no photo's of WIP - hope that's ok Julia.

ta dah - see nothing well that's a candle in middle.

This is my actual desk - very small and I don't often sit here .
This beastie is my new printer etc etc and sits on top of paper cupboard

Below the card I made for DH. The reason I am posting tonight as it is his birthday tomorrow!!!! ( He's a little older than me :-) - I was only 16 when he asked me out - he was 23 and my mum and dad were a wee bit upset and others said it wouldn't last. We will have been married 43 years this year :-)

I did some simple invites - really for our grandchildren for Sat eve - a little party for them really to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. It was not what was planned but events have meant we have had to change the plans.

Yesterday 28th was our youngest son's birthday - below is his card.

And finally thank goodness you say are the box of poppies made by some of the knitting group I run - my contribution are those on the top the ones with individual petals. There was an appeal for them as part of commemorations of Centenary of 1st WW. They will be made into wreaths and they will be put onto War Memorials etc.

Sorry it's a bit long - again. I will visit as many desks as I can - but it might not be just tomorrow. Back soon. x

  4. Sorry to hear about your knee...I really hope they manage to get everything sorted out for you soon Anne. Sorry for missing last week as well (rubbish computer I'm afraid). How unusual to see your dining room table so clear, but all in a good cause. I love the story of how you and your husband met and your Mum's comment. Do say 'Happy Birthday' from me. Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW. Caro x (#61)

  6. Belated Happy B'day to your son! My husband was 6 years older than me which made some around us a bit anxious, : ) when I met him mid college at the age of 20 but we had 38 good years together before his death. How wonderful that you and DH have been together even longer, Anne. God grant you many years!!! xx
