WOYWW 254

Hello fellow WOYWW ers. Have to admit I wasn't going to join in this week feeling a tad down. Am trying hard to be positive and indeed have a date with the hospital re my knee! Pain is more manageable and I am crafting more and getting about more easily. Yesterday though was (at long last - a long story) the funeral of my son's F.I.L. It was sad but there were some smiles as we remembered a lovely man who we lost way too soon.
Then I discovered via a text that my phone service provider was trying to bill me again for last months payment. It has taken me several hours to sort this - won't bore you with all the details - something I could have done without! So was feeling like I couldn't be bothered with anything. BUT pulled myself together and here we go.  SORRY FOR THIS BIT JULIA

Anyway no photo of actual desk this week . But thought I would share some of what I've managed to do.

Not the finest photos but just doing best I can at moment :-)
I will be popping around to visit all my favourite desks later and a few new ones. If you want to join in then pop over to Julia's blog and get all the details on what to do  Hopefully I'll be back soon!!!! Have a great day. x

  1. Anne, these boxes are beautiful. Well done to achieve those, especially as you are in so much pain. What a beautiful gift folk will receive.
Sorry you have so much to contend with this week - trying to sort issues out can be so frustrating. I'm never at my best when doing that! Brings out the worst in me - oops!
Thank for praying for us at this time. Hubby feels like he is falling apart at the seams at the moment. It's not been an easy year so far for him! We, and indeed the whole church, are praying and asking God about the situation - but, so far, silence from heaven. We trust and believe God knows best - it ain't always easy, though...
In answer to your question - no there is no time limit for the little dolls. I spent about five hours and achieved two finished dolls. I wasn't knitting as quickly as usual as I have a huge split in one of my fingers, and it kept me from holding the needles properly (and I was also watching Miss Marple on catch up!) - so, as you can tell, they are not huge things.
God bless you this Easter time as we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus.

  11. Sorry to hear what a rough time you've been having of late, Anne, and I hope all will be resolved soon. I am glad to see that none of it has hampered your wonderful creativity!

Many thanks for your visit - glad you liked the card. I had my moments during the making of it when I thought "I don't like this!" but perseverence paid out in the end, and I ended up liking it a lot! Definitely something to work on again.

  12. Hi Anne,
I hope your knee pain gets sorted out once and for all. Did I tell you I've had a total knee replacement? Yep, and I need to do it again on my left knee. So, I know how painful it can be and how those difficult days can sneak up on you. Take care of yourself.

Your projects are absolutely stunning. Much better than seeing a desk.

Congratulations on your DH's 70th birthday and proving all the naysayers wrong!

    Happy Easter.
Thank you for visiting me already!!!
    Happy WOYWW
    Hugs, Kay (13)

  15. Wonderful cards there Anne.. love them all... and hlad indeed to hear that you have a result with an op date... what a blessing... pray its not too far away for you. And glad phone was finally sorted.. ypu do wonder sometimes. My brother had his house insurance bill and they had it built in 1900 instead of 2001!!
Still pray too for the grieving ones. May God be your comfort and strength each day. Love Shaz in Oz.x

Thanks for visiting my Flat Susan post! I must admit, I was quite envious of how easy it was to replace her leg! If only......
