WOYWW 252

I was missing last week - a very difficult and painful week ( you can read about it in previous posts if you want to.

So what is WOYWW ? Well pop over toJulia's (the boss lady) and find out more and join in!!!

Sadly my work space and desk has been neglected due to all that has happened. You would think that despite problem with my knee I would be able to sit and craft. Could not last week. I may have found a way to support my foot which in turn seems to take pressure of knee so might try again .
I was unable to finish my Mum's Mother's Day card and sympathy cards for my Son and family.. Had to go online for Mum's and send one that way.

So to my desk

I abandoned it last week - I don't think I even managed to clean that stamp.

On a previous post I showed you a grey plastic bag This is what was inside. I decided to join in with a CAL as couldn't paper craft. I really had enough stash I could have used but was feeling so sorry for myself so clicked on the button 'order' It is going to be a blanket of granny squares which are joined as you go - something I've not tried before.
Finally look at these - go on try one.
They are chocolate with salty caramel. Today is my birthday and my friend came round with these this morning. I was not expecting the best of days but it has been lovely.
That's it from me for now. I will visit other desks at some point tomorrow. Please bear with me as it takes a long time to get my self ready to go visiting at the moment. x

  8. Good morning Anne. It seems neither of us has had the best of weeks but yours I'm sure has been more painful physically than mine so I'm sending you the biggest of 'get that knee sorted asap' hugs. Knitting/crocheting has been my life saver lately too.
    Hugs,

  9. Oh Anne - what a fortnight you've had, so sorry to hear about your knee and your friend. If the anti inflammatories are not touching the pain, go back to your docs and get stronger ones.
Love the colours of the yarn, they'll make a gorgeous blanket. Crochet and crafting sure help when you're down....
    Hugs, LLJ 8 xx

  13. I'm so sorry to hear what a difficult time you've been having of late, Anne, and I do hope that the pain in your knee will ease somewhat and allow you to do things again. I use both a wheelchair and a mobility scooter (my famous buggy!) and love both for the independence they give me, and I count my blessings daily that I am not in acute pain and my disability doesn't prevent me from doing too many of the things I really enjoy! You are obviously of the same mind - when you are prevented from being creative in one area, nothing daunted, you just find another area to be creative instead! Hope the self-joining granny squares are a success!

Many thanks for your visit and your comment. So glad you like what I am playing with at the moment! As for Mum's birthday, we've had a really great day, and all that work was so worth while! Hop over to my blog for some piccies and you can see some of the food we had!

    Happy WOYWW,

  15. Hi Anne,

I know what knee pain in like, and it's not fun at all. I hope you are improving, though. I elevate my knees when I sleep at night; that seems to help me a bit.

Your sweets surprise looks yummy! So glad you have a friend that knows just when to stop by and bring some cheer.

Thank you for visiting me already! Happy belated WOYWW

  16. Hi Anne,

I know we just chatted a few days ago, but I've just now had a chance to come and catch up with your blog. Goodness, you didn't say a word in the email about the terrible state your kanee is in. I'm so very sorry! The things I hear about NHS and how long it takes to get care are just inhumane sometimes. I will add you to my prayers, my friend, that you get relief and attention sooner rather than later.

And, naughty girl you for not telling me it was your birthday, or naughty girl me for forgetting! Again, I'm sorry! I send you a huge cyber Belated Birthday Hug!! And thank you sharing your spectacular cupcakes! They are still fresh today!!

Hang in there, Buttercup, and keep letting us know how you're doing, Love, Darnell
