WOYWW 246

Well I've been quite fortunate since last Wednesday as I've managed to fit in a fair amount of crafting :-) and also managed to get quite a few other things sorted and organised.
DH and I celebrated Valentine's Day quite quietly. We each had a card from our 'secret admirer' plus chocolate hearts and DH cooked dinner and we shared some champagne that my mum bought me some time ago. Very yummy. Oooh and today I had a delicious lunch with three friends from my Sugar Craft group. I had squid to start - delicious and Chicken Scallopini - all yummy.
Here are some of the cards I made for Valentine's ( showed you DH's last week) I made five that said Love You for each of my grandchildren and for mum. The other I sent to my friend. The children had a chocolate heart and my friend a chocolate lolly :-) I have chocolates for mum when we see her.

Have been managing to do a little knitting, crochet and messing about with my journal.

Have also started preparations for my next Card Making Workshop - even though I only do it once a month it seems to come round quickly!!!

So to my work space
I took the photos earlier today and nothing has changed since!! Quite tidy really. There are two new punches - I love the Scalloped Tag Punch from SU. I am in middle of making a little treat holder it's just near the back - has the pink egg on it.

Another view. Was also having a play with a band for a candle but am rethinking doing that.

The other end of table with some of the stuff I have been using to make the projects for class.
Well that's it for this WOYWW. What's it all about pop over here to Julia's Blog  find out more and join in.
Will visit as many as I can. x

  9. It all looks very tidy and productive, Anne. I am glad you and your hubby were able to celebrate Valentine's day so nicely! We exchanged cards and small gifts - choccies for me (yummy) and some special chutney for my hubby.

Just heard some great news - Beatrice's biopsy result is in and she's fine!!! Phew. What a relief. She does look cute in her little dress, doesn't she.

    Happy WOYWW,

  12. A busy desk this week Anne, and what a great creative week you have been having. Glad you had such a lovely Valentine celebration.
Thank you for visiting earlier - and thank you for your lovely comments. I'm glad you like the card for the challenge - I was really pleased with it. Yes, the swans were indeed printed with the new HP printer. We have been VERY impressed thus far.
Ah-ha!! You have found us out. Yes, Mrs D and I have been friends for a good many years now. First met when she and OH moved to Wales. In fact my hubby and I "interviewed" them when they asked for church membership at the church where we worshipped. That was many years ago now - probably nearly 20. We have seen each other through all sorts of ups and downs. We had to move away to the Midlands in 2004 to care for my parents, and have now moved back up to N Wales - but further along the coast. We see each other regularly - and try to get play days together when we can - not often enough.... both of us busy in our churches.
Take care, and have a fabulous week.

  17. HI Anne, Thanks for visiting me. you are right about the card at the back, it is a flat card, on it's way to Jan later today.
You have lots going on on your desk, do you run the card workshop? Looks as if it is going to be great fun.
You must have been very busy with Valentines cards, but it is good to let people know that you love them, we don't tell them often enough.

  20. Hi Anne, lots of goodies there on your desk I see. Love my stamps and butterfly die you ordered for me. Might even make my card club based on the birthday card you sent me using my newly acquired goodies. Now that would be fun! Sorry I’m a bit late replying this week, too much Winter Olympics to watch, harp to play and everything, thanks for the visit BJ#77

  21. I've never tried any of those SU punches. As much as I hate MS, I LOVE her punches. They are the best, at least in my book. You have so many things to see this week, it's spooky. Thanks for the Wednesday visit. I'm running late this week because of more power outages, this time accompanied by loss of my phone and internet.

    Happy belated WOYWW from #3.
