WOYWW 244

Here we are again! Wednesday and WOYWW . If you've not yet discovered WOYWW then pop over to Julia's blog and get all the info !
Since last week I have managed some crafting-though not as much as I would wish but I really had to do some household chores :-( and I needed to sort out and rearrange my sugar craft and yarn stash for easier access and we also had a clear out in garage so we could easily store a huge stack of logs for the woodburner. I didn't go to Sugar Craft class yesterday as I wanted to get sorting out finished! DH has visited the tip and I have a box of goodies for the charity shop!!

Spent Monday looking after youngest GD as she has been poorly - poor thing. We went to our son's on Saturday evening to share a chinese meal- that was a  lovely evening.

Have sent a big order in to Stampin Up ( I got three orders from ladies from my last class) so am excitedly awaiting delivery as ordered some new goodies for me as well. Also had a few bits from Joanne Sheen as I needed a new C plate for my 'Bug' - it snapped when I tried to use it when I only needed two B plates :-( BUT a few other bits fell in the 'basket' so have a lot to play with. Anyway must show my desk and a couple of cards I've made.

Below space where I've been working. The card is not stuck together yet. I'm not really sure it's right. It's for a colour challenge and I am not finding this one easy. To the right are a couple of pan pastels - not got any and decided to try them as I am doing a journal and wanted something else to use in it.

Below looking along the dining table from where I'm working - as you can see still some sorting out needed!!

Below is another card for last weeks colour challenge. Unfortunately the colours are not very true in the photo.

The final one - one you don't want to have to make - for my friend who has just lost her Mum ( sad and unexpected)

Hope you've enjoyed reading. Sorry Julia it's probably not as short as it should be.
Will visit as many as I can manage!!! Bye for now. x

  8. I think the push to tidy is in direct relation to the dire weather we are having. We cannot get outside and do what we need to do, so we are driven to tidy what we can. I have nearly finished sorting and cataloguing my stamps, and bagging up the wooden and rubber ones I am getting rid of, and hoping to get into the garden to plant my fruit bushes that arrived yesterday. Those two cards you have shown us are really pretty, very gentle in style. Hope things are good for you this week. xx Maggie #3

    1. Busy Anne! Your cards are lovely, and bravo for your sales and organizing efforts. I cleaned out my clothes closet and donated a huge bag of clothes to the Salvation Army a couple of weeks ago. Pre-spring cleaning? xx

  11. If you photo your cards with your back to the window so that the light is on the card not behind it, you might get better colour . Having said that, the cards are so lovely that colour variation isn't really an issue!! Love the sight of your desk, bedecked with papers, but wait..where will all the new stuff go?!!!

  12. I think it's neat how into stamping and card making you are. I make my own cards but I just print a photo on card stock in my printer and cut and fold it to make a card. But my cards could use some embellishments, for sure! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  19. Gorgeous cards, especially the sympathy one. Sorry to hear the little one is ill...hope she is feeling better now. I had to laugh at you snapping your C-plate...I did exactly the same thing except mine is still hanging on by a whisker! Thanks for sharing. Happy Belated WOYWW. Caro x (#57)

  20. Hello Anne. Your cards are so nice - they will be greatly appreciated, I'm sure. If you think your dining table is messy - you should have seen my desk a few minutes ago... all the yummy goodies bought at the show being used - erm - at once...
Thanks for visiting. Thanks for your prayers - we greatly appreciate the way folk have promised to pray - it is so special - and we know the only answer to hubby's breathing issues is God - the Drs don't have any answers.
Trusting your wee one is feeling much better now.
    Have a great week.

  21. Sorry, Anne. Hadn't scrolled my page down far enough to see you PS. The printer we have gone for is an HP Office jet pro 8100. It's currently on sale in Curry/PCWorld's website for £69.99. We were so pleased with our last printer - an HP 950C. It lasted nearly 14 years, giving lovely clear prints right to it's demise! Hence the reason for going for HP again. This one will, apparently (not tried yet) print right to the edge, has four ink cartridges which can all be changed independently. The colour quality and clarity we have got so far is beautiful. Have had a go at some Debbi Moore art deco stuff, some Brambly Hedge, some Faye Whitaker, and some Thomas Kinkade - so a good mix. Not tried our own photos yet.
    Hope this helps.

  22. Lovely busy desk, Anne! I have got some pan pastels but haven't used them yet - something to look forward to. Thanks for your visit and your nice comment - I had such a good weekend, having two or three good sessions in my ARTHaven, and making good progress with my teabag experiments, and also working on my hubby's Zentangle Valentine card which is nearly finished now. Don't worry about the delay - I'm always terribly behind with WOYWW and as far as I'm concerned, it's only late once the next one has been launched! For me the joy of it lasts all week.

    Have a great week,

  23. It's good to have a clear out Anne, we should do that with our basement but spent a good portion of the weekend watching the Olympics instead! I could definitely send you some snow if you'd like (70" so far and counting!), but it will have melted by the time it gets there and will only add to your woes! Pretty cards on show, sorry you had to make the sympathy one though.

    Hugs
