WOYWW 243

Hello WOYWWers!!! Time to play again!!!! If you've not joined us before then pop over to the lovely Julia's Blog ( the boss lady :-) ) and join in.

Well another hectic week since last time - so what's new I hear you shout. Since last Wednesday's WOYWW I spent Wed, Thurs and Friday preparing for the Workshop I did. I did too much and am cutting it down quite severely for next class. Added to that my son and family came on Friday - so had to tidy up a bit and prepare dinner. They left to go to London on Sat morning then I went off to class. Had 13 ladies and was exhausted afterwards. Just dumped everything in dining room. Son and family came back Sunday and we went to youngest son's for cake and coffee. I then had my granddaughter Monday. Took my Aunt to hospital on Tuesday morning  for 8 a.m.) went on to Sugarcraft. Home to look after my GD and her sister after school and am now waiting for a call to say Auntie can be collected after her little op. Managed to make a card, knit a small square using Annie's pattern and finish a shoe made from sugar paste.

So just one view of the muddle that is the dining table where I work. The rest of the room and various surfaces look the same. I love my glass jar covered in tissue paper. My granddaughters did one each for me - so cute.

I did manage a card - as you can see I was a little late with it.

My knitted square - thank you for the pattern Annie. I am going to make more to make a blanket for Africa.

My sugar paste shoe! Just need to make a cake for it to go on :-) Photo not too good but I took them last night but was then too tired to do my post ready last night.

Hope I've not been too long winded Julia. I will visit anyone who visits me, those ending in same number and everyone I follow regularly. Bye for now. x

  3. Loving all the pink Anne! That shoe is so darling. I could see that on Strictly! You sound like you are having a hectic time of it. I know what you mean about teaching card classes - My class always has a job finishing as I don't want them to go home thinking that was too easy! I always have to remind myself of that as I design the projects! Hope you get to put your feet up today. WOYWW Hugs from Helen 74 x

  8. Wow Anne - you are a busy badger!

As I've not visited you before I read your intro bit at the top of the blog - my goodness those are places from my past! I went to Birmingham Poly (now UCE), I lived in Streetly for my first year and Perry Barr for the last three, I spent many happy hours in Sutton Park with my then boyfriend - who subsequently dumped me - on top of Barr Beacon, the day I finished my finals - Happy Days LOL! All a LONG time in the past!

Gorgeous card - I'm guessing made with SU products? Your little pen jars are sweet - and lovely to have something made by your GDs on your desk too.

Thank you for your visit - hope Auntie is well. Have a happy week. MMx #43

  11. Very productive days, Anne! I loved seeing all of your projects...and your desk, too :)
I recycled a grocery bag full of papers from my desk yesterday, so am making a little progress on sorting, as well as continental knitting, and playing with polymer clay. Blessings to you and yours, xx

  15. I keep a fairly busy schedule, and even I got tired from reading everything you managed to accomplish in a week. What a lot of work, too.

Yes, I remember seeing the square at Annie's last week. I was most impressed with hers AND now yours as well. Way to go.

Thanks for visiting me already and happy slightly belated WOYWW from #1.
