WOYWW 221 (and my Wedding Anniversary )

Hi there and here we are another Wednesday!!! I am doing this Tuesday evening as I will hopefully be getting up and getting ready to go out to lunch (and a craft centre :-) tomorrow morning  ) to celebrate our 42nd Wedding Anniversary. ( I was a child bride :-) )
Anyway to my desk!!!!

The not quite finished card for DH. Everything is ready to assemble !!! Will show finished card later. I'm not sure I will really like it. I'm still not really getting motivated and am not liking what I am doing much :-( At the back is a Christmas card that I have been messing about with. Saw similar in SU catty - but I don't have stamps and the SU idea looks much better. To the right is some glitter put some on Christmas card.

The card I made for DS and D.I.L. for their anniversary - not sure about this one either.

A birthday card. This was based on one I saw but sorry can't recall where.

Two years ago on our Ruby Anniversary we were given some garden tokens. We have eventually spent them !!! The blue pot, plant and water feature!!! This corner is not yet arranged as I would like it - an ongoing project.

We also had some left over to put towards this outdoor clock/weather station. I was amazed at the reflection in the clock of the bathroom window.

DH sat at table yesterday as we waited for DS and family to come back from visiting our friends and to have lunch with us before they left for home.
Ooops another couple of cards I made.

Well that's it for now. Sorry about all photos Julia - hope you will forgive me.
Sorry for having a bit of a moan.

If you are wondering why I was showing you my desk then pop to Julia's Blog and join in. Bye for now!!!!

  5. You may not be totally happy with the cards you have shown us, but I think they are lovely, and your garden corner is so restful and pretty. As far as the Gelli plate is concerned, go for it and you will be amazed at the different and unexpected effects you can get with very little effort or mess. You do need to buy the Speedball brayer (some of the others have been know to cut into the Gelli plate) and acrylic paints. You only need a couple of colours to start with, such as Burnt Umber, a good blue and a pale colour for contrast, and then be prepared to play. Try to watch Barbara's classroom show from the beginning of August which was all on the Gelli and teaching Nigel May to use it (show can be found on Create and Craft website). Have fun. xx Maggie #12

  7. Hi Anne, happy anniversary ... 42 years, many congratulations!

Your cards are all beautiful but it does sound as though your crafting mojo is a tad burned out ... hope it revives soon. Love the little corner of your garden and the clock is fabulous - and lovely reminders of your ruby anniversary ... can't believe you took 2 years to spend those tokens :)

    Happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #59

PS: your lovely card that you thought had gone astray - it arrived yesterday, presumable the bank holiday down your way delayed the post. Will email you personally. EW xx

  8. I love the way SU products are colour co-ordinated, and many of the cards I see made with them really appeal. (I only have a very few of their stamps, as I live in Spain and SU hasn't reached us yet. But I treat myself whenever I go over to UK to visit family).
I also love your garden corner. We are working on a similar area, inspired by a visit to Cordoba festival of patios in May, but then we got a new puppy, so the garden is on hold until he is old enough to respect it! Kate x #61

  17. Hello, I am sending this to everyone. Im sorry I am not going to be able to get to all the desk and I have now lost my sheet of paper that I was writing them down on. I don't think my cat is going to make it through the night to even see the vet. She is old just like my dog so I guess they are going to get sick at the same time or so. I just going to copy and paste and sorry to every one that I didn't get to read.. I just cant do it right now. Thank you Roberta 40 and bright blessings to all.
