Gosh I am sure that it can't be a week since the last WOYWW!!! Gosh it's been a hectic time. Hope that everyone had a lovely Easter. Despite some difficulties at the moment we had a happy time. My family were with us on Easter Sunday and for my birthday on Monday.
Anyway first things first my desk. I didn't think there would be anything to show as I had to clear everything off the dining table so we could all sit there on Easter Sunday.
Anyway after tidying up a little after my visitors had left I quickly made three very simple cards to say thank you for my presents.
To my desk - well dining table :-)
If you'd like to join in WOYWW and visit desks around the world to see what other crafters are up to then go to the lovely Julia's desk at stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/ have fun. I will visit those I follow, those who visit me and those who end in same number as me.
If you've time to read on then just a little news re my birthday.
As I said earlier it was also my birthday this weekend- on Easter Monday - yes 1st April :-)
My eldest son and family arrive on Sunday and we were joined by my younger son and family and had dinner together later. The children were so excited at being together again.
On Monday morning everyone gathered together for card and present opening!!!! I have had some lovely presents and was also lucky to have quite a lot of money as well. So I expect there will be some crafty stash making it's way here soon :-)
Above a gorgeous Cath Kidston bag.
The two storage boxes above were from ladies at the card making workshop I went to. Sadly last Saturday was the very last day as the owner has been forced to close.
I had a new wash bag and a 'do not disturb' sign, some ribbon, a stamp from the lovely Elizabeth (Silver Scrapper) already used, a scarf, plant and a lot of chocolate. Still have some pressies to come. I have been very lucky.
My D.I.L. Carolynn made me a cake and both D.'sI.L. had a hand in decorating it.
After the 'grand opening' we went out for the day. We took the children to The Think Tank in B.ham. The children had a wonderful time. Took a picnic lunch with us. Then we went to Jamie's Italian Restaurant in B'ham and had a wonderful dinner. My 5 year old GD insisted her mummy told them it was my birthday. My dessert came complete with a candle and a lot of staff singing Happy Birthday - with my four grandchildren joining in with much enthusiasm. It was a wonderful day.
We returned home at about eight o clock with very tired children who were so excited they had stayed up late!!!!!
My eldest son and family traveled back today and we went to mind five year old GD while her sister went to hospital to have a check on her heart. Thankfully the murmur is nothing to worry about.
Sorry this has been a bit long Julia if you made it this far :-) - hope you will let me off this week. Anne x

Glad you had a good birthday. Bet you got some pranks played on you in the past... I did too, when I got married (yes, on 1st April....) the hairdresser came out of his back store room to 'cut my hair' with his arm in a sling - but I didn't fall for it, he was so disappointed!! should have listened to people as it obviously wasn't a good date for a wedding, long term!!!
ReplyDeletesorry, forgot my number on the comment! Helen, 4
