WOYWW 194

Wednesday again. Where does the week go? It's time to share your desk with other crafters around the world. What am I talking about? Pop over to Julia's blog  Stamping Ground  and join in the fun.

So to my desk without more ado. Well I say desk I tend to use the dining table as more space and I have moved all my things into the dining room as we only use it on special occasions and when all the family visit so it made more sense to convert bedroom back to a bedroom for two - mainly for when my grandsons visit.

This is my actual desk - rather cluttered at moment. The basket has some adhesive that I took to last class I took as some ladies had expressed an interest in buying. My bug and Bigshot towards right. The hearts and boxes are a work in progress :-) taking a long time. I think that basically I am trying to do too many things- but doubt I will change!!

Work space on table. Another crafter mentioned using the shaving foam technique so decided I had to have a go. The results you can see below. As well as the tags I decided to do it on bottom half of first page of my first ever Art Journal- inspired by Creative Jumpstart. As far as I've got. Do intend to try more of the ideas.

I'd tidied up the table because I wanted to get on with my first Lillybo quilt. It's dark here this morning so it doesn't look quite as bright as it is in reality. I have to add some pieces to either side yet. Can't quite decide on colours from what I've got.

Another bit of storage - the white drawers from Ikea. I've been undecided about these since before Christmas but gave in last week. They fitted perfectly into the space. Although white in reality they look creamy so go well in the room. Can be wheeled out as well if needs be. Ooops didn't realise there was part of the vacuum cleaner still there.

Last Sat went to card class. This is what we made. Not my designs I just copied the examples.

As you can see above this has a little flap that tucks into the piece at the front.

I know all the edges are not straight as that was the intention- if I made it again I think I would cut the edges evenly.
Well off to link up with Julia and will be back later to visit other desks. Have decided I will visit the ones I follw regularly, those who visit me and those ending with same number as me. Bye for now. Anne x

  7. Crumbs Anne. That shaving foam technique looks brilliant! I guess if I google it I'll find out more - love it! Great cards too and your quilt is gonna be fabulous.

No wonder you haven't time to catalogue stamps with so much going on!! I think my systme is very simple, plus it allows me to move things round if I like, just a question of rubbing out the pencilled reference number on the index card and writing a new location in. BUT, it take time for sure.

    Happy WOYWW, hugs, Di xx

  11. Hi Anne, it seems like ages since I've had a good catch-up on your blog!
And I see you've moved to the dining room, but then when you're doing as many bits and pieces as you are, you need more space! And I suppose there's a cake going in the kitchen too?!! lol!

I do like your drawers....seems a very handy piece of furniture especially if you can wheel it around! I really like your cards too.....Look forward to seeing your quilt.... Joan
