WOYWW 193

Another week already. Time is flying by. Sorry I didn't manage to visit as many as I would have liked last week but we went to spend a few days with our eldest son and family. I wasn't going to join in but it's so hard not to:-)
Anyway just in case you don't know what I'm on about then pop along to the lovely Julia's blog  and check out what WOYWW is all about
Julia's Blog

I have managed to finish my knitted (with crocheted edge ) blanket for babies in Africa. I wasn't really pleased with the finish felt quite despondent about all my crafting after I'd finished it. have perked up a bit now, and I guess practice makes perfect. Though I seem to have been practicing for a long time.
I am now ready to start my Lillybo Quilt - need to get some wadding and backing for the quilt. Am also going to knit some little things for Africa. Idea being you knit an item a day for Lent.

made a simple card today for DH for Valentine's Day.

Since taking photo of desk I tidied up a bit in my craftroom AKA the dining room. Looking for my labels so I can label all my paper etc shelves as I have to keep opening several to find what I'm looking for. ;-)
Anyway enough of all this here are the photos. Will try and visit all who leave a comment, blogs I follow and those ending with same number as me ( copying Kay with that idea but seems to work) .

The little red  cones are awaiting ribbon and are going to have some little gifts for my granddaughters. grandsons had boxes last week.

Underneath the piece of paper on the right is a box of chocolate hearts for DH. My old printer is taking up a lot of space to the rear. Cartridges in wireless printer need replacing and I needed to do some printing so had to get it down. Have hung onto it as it scans and photocopies as well.

Above my actual desk. It's quite small so don't tend to actually work at it.

Above and below (the inside ) card for DH. Not a good photo. The card is white. Saw a similar one somewhere and thought it a great idea and it was quick. The middle heart is SU glimmer paper one.

The blanket !!!

See you soon. Anne x

  3. Super stash there ready to use and I love your Valentine Card. It is classy in it's simplicity. Your blanket is so neat. It looks like crochet around the edge... is it knitted squares? Beautiful.
I wanted to do a little return favour for all the quilt makers, in thanks, so.......
I'd like to make head dresses like I made for my grandees for yours. Let me know how many and the sizes around their heads. I use sequinned stretchy stuff for the band so they WILL fit and be comfy. Also what colours and if they want tiaras or the ones like I did to go with the Merida outfit. That head dress has a medallion on it as on the post on 29th Jan. Just email me.

    1. Hi Jo yes it's 36 knitted squares 6" x 6" and I did 9 rows of crochet around the edge. It is so kind of you to make head dresses for the girls. I will see them at the weekend and will measure up :-) x I know they will be thrilled. Anne x
