WOYWW 191

I know that we all say this but I really can't believe it's been a week since I was last doing this. Where has January gone? I am later than ever joining in, in fact wasn't going to cos had a lot to do but was so tired needed to sit down and decided to go for it!!! If you don't know what I am going on about then pop over to
stamping-ground.blogspot.com home of the lovely Julia's blog - she started it all !!!! Beware though it's highly addictive.

Well I will show you my desk first in case you don't have much time and I know Julia doesn't like it if we go on too long. Rest of my news afterwards if you make it.

This was Tuesday evening after finishing three cards I had to make this week. I didn't change anything until today.

See the big pink tape thingy - forgotten it's proper name. Well it is Julia's fault I bought it!! Honest!! On one of her posts she said they were in the sale at ***** forget now so I just had to buy it. Am still practising. Sometimes it's perfect - others - well not sure what I'm doing. In the pinl box to right are my liquid pearls - stickles to the left above.

Not a very good photo but a card for a lady on a forum I am on - she doesn't usually look on here.

Below a get well for a lady at knitting group who fell and broke her wrist - before the snow but it was icy. She is 84 and says she is really fed up at having to stop in. She is involved in so many activities.

Ah what is this ? Mr Ups left it whilst I was at the hospital. What can it be?

Well i've been a naughty girl and placed a rather large order with Stampin'Up! Some of it for a class I am doing ( though found out today there will now only be three attending - but that's another story) something my DIL ordered - well I confess only one item :-) and there were a few freebies.

 Ta da!!! So exciting.

Oh yes there is more !!!!

Can't buy anything else for aaaaggggggggeeeeeeeeessss.

Have spent a lot of today getting ready for tomorrow's class. A question for anyone who might run classes how much prep do you do and how much of a free rein do you give people?

As I said I went for a check up at hospital on Tuesday. I had a small op back on 8th August and have just had check up and that was after contacting the hospital twice. Anyway have to have another small op, when I can get appointment. Should be this year, that means I had one in 2011, 2012 and now 2013 - going for a hat trick.
Have managed to start sewing up my blanket and also made a crochet flower this week . So quite productive.

  1. Look at all those crafty goodies.. I had to have a pink thingy too after seeing Julia's desk it takes a bit of getting used to. I am still getting used to it will take some practice but I do love it. Beats trying to pick all the backing off the rolls I was using.

  2. well, I got to bed (this morning) about half an hour after I should've got up! The night time just disappeared so quickly, one minute it was about one in the morning and the next it was 6.45! Still, I did get a few things done!

    Happy WOYWW!~

  7. Hi Annee

I've got one of those huge glue runners too - have to be honest and also find it not 100% - generally reach for a small Stix2 type which is more consistent in its output. albeit more expensive in the long run. Grinned here too about the SU order - bad girl that you are! Mine should be here soon - bread and jam until Springtime I expect :)

Love your card, Happy WOYWW to you too! Hugs, Di xx

Hope the health issues are sorted tout suit for you x

  8. Hello Anne, glad you decided to join in this week, after all, though it does seem as though you are not only busy but you've had a trying week of it so far. You have my sympathy for having to go into hospital yet again - I hope all goes well. That delivery must have gone a long way to cheering you up - it's always fun to open up a box of goodies. Can't help you with the prep much though I did attend a SU class for a season - the demonstrator always did some of the prep, e.g. cut up the card to share it round and included any brads or gems that might be needed - but otherwise we did everything else, trimming, stamping, tearing, embossing, etc., during the class. Hope you've had a happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #71

  10. Hope things soon settle down on the health front. I also cannot spend any more crafting money fort a long time. To be fair, I do have a lot I need to use up anyway. Thank you for your visit today and have a good week. By the way, my drawing really is not good, but I do enjoy trying. xx Maggie #11

  11. Ooh, that's what I call "Happy Mail"! A lovely stash!
Hope the op goes well and you recover quickly.
My sympathies to your friend with the broken wrist. (Broke mine six years ago, had op, plates put in, but still in constant discomfort. Shouldn't complain, can still do everything I want to.)
Thanks for stopping by! Much appreciated.

  12. Ooooh we all love new stash, don't we, Anne! I allowed my credit card an outing at the craft show last week, and then did some online shopping afterwards to get the stuff on my list that wasn't at the show! I've got one of those big pink glue runners too and it's excellent, and much cheaper to run than the little ones that fit in your hand that run out in 5 mins.

Thanks for your lovely comment, and I'm so glad you like my new spoke guards! They turned out better than I could have expected.

    Happy WOYWW,

  14. I love my ATG gun...For some reason I break all other types of tape runners...I shutter when I pick one up...I find them frustrating. I crushed both my wrists a bit back, and always blame my hands when others can and I can't.....although, maybe I am just a clutz and it's not my hands! HA

  23. QUITE productive? I would say VERY!! Love the cards. And the justification for the huge order..one item for DiL made me smile!! Have fun with it, that size of order means you won't really 'need' anything for ages!

  24. Hi Anne,

Look at that big box of goodies! I was a SU demonstrator over ten years ago. My, it's changed quite a bit since then. I had a monthly club of four women who had to spend $25.00 (or something like that) so I'd meet my minimum. I'd rotate the extra freebies between them. We'd make two items, which I prepped all the supplies, so guess I didn't give them free rein.

Have fun with all your new things!

Thanks for visiting me. Yes, it's nice to have the store nearby! Although her hours aren't that convenient for me yet (only on Saturdays).

    Hugs,
    Kay
