WOYWW 185

Firstly just wanted to say , especially to all our friends from the USA that my heart goes out to all affected by the tragic events there. I wept when hearing the news about those children and adults. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. It certainly puts the silly things I've been mithering about into perspective

Phewwww I really didn't think I would make it and can't stop long at moment but will be back to visit later. I have really been struggling to catch up this week. Some things have had to be abandoned- sadly but try as I might I couldn't do everything. I still have 3 cards to make. Well one to finish and two to do from scratch plus a few bits to finish on cards for my card class.
I left it late to fit in doing a class at the library - did it yesterday but should have cancelled. Only one lady turned up (I had to prepare for eight as that's what I'd told library staff) so have a few cards prepared for next year. Have vowed as well won't leave things so late next year.
Well better get on and show you my desk. If you would like to know why then click on WOYWW button at bottom of my blog and join in the fun.

my actual desk which is pretty self explanatory I guess. The bag at the back, was the one I showed the ladies at workshop I did , how to make.

The dining table - also used as my desk. It is a lot tidier than it was. Have to clear it as will be needed next week!!!

I would like to wish everyone

and a very Happy Christmas ( my tree and Advent star in the window, still have a few bits to put on the tree. Presents will go under when I have finished going out)

Bye for now Anne x

  3. Evening Anne! I always say, this year I will be ready and I never am! Just hope the next Christmas and the New Year will be better than last year, specially with a new baby grand daughter on the way! The cards I have left to do are only ones I send by hand...save postage!! (as they are always large because of the embellishments)Have a fabulous Christmas! Happy WOYWW!

  4. Thanks for your comment, Anne, and lol lol!! I'm mega bushed now, I can tell ya. It'll probably take me the rest of the week to get over it... Still it was worth it as I've got a great sense of achievement now! Also Wonderwoman took loads of rubbish away with her to go to the recycling centre and the charity shop, so that's several boxes less than before.

Hope you have a great Christmas and New Year too.

    Happy WOYWW,

  5. Hi Anne thanks so very much for popping over earlier in the week and for the encouraging words on my weekend post.. and yes so agree with your thoughts on the great sorrow of hear t over there in USA what amazes me is that they are so against gun control and there are more killed by guns in year over in Us than were killed in Vietnamese war - was one statistic I heard.. bless my mind when they did a country by country comparison for those slain by guns..very sad.

But wow love the tree, and so pray you and your family have a God blessed Christmas, love Shaz in oz.x

  10. Hi Anne, love the bag in the background! the papers you used are lovely. I'm terrible for leaving everything 'til the last minute too! I ended up sending out some bought cards in the end as I didn't get all mine done! Love your Christmas tree, I'm hoping if we move we'll have space for a "real" tree, I do love mine but I had to get one of those slim style ones as we are a bit short for space in our sitting room! hence why we'd like to move! Have a great Christmas with your family x

  11. I love the way that your crafting has expanded from your desk to completely cover the dining room table. I haven't been allowed to do that, but Alex's crafting expands completely across the dining room floor and into the sitting room on an almost daily basis! Maybe I should share his workspace one week! Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a very Happy Christmas. Caro (#65)

  12. Hi Anne,

Your tree is absolutely beautiful! I have been way behind on getting things in order for Christmas. I didn't even make any Christmas cards -- bad me. I'm hoping to make some New Year cards though -- wow, I better get on the ball.

Thank you for visiting me already. I'm slowly getting around....

I hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas.

    Hugs,
    Kay (84)
