update on my cough

Well I hadn't been to the doctors as thought I could fight it but I was not getting better.  Then I could not get an appointment at the surgery. Finally gave in tonight and went to Walk In Centre. Doctor listened to my back. I was concious of crackling and rattling. He said that what he heard seemed  a bit rare.Crackling in lower right side. Didn't seem sure what to do.  He'd expected to hear something in chest/throat area. He has prescribed antibiotics but has told me to go to casualty if I don't start to improve where they will do a chest xray. Have spoken to my son and he said that he probably suspects pneumonia :-( he said that the diagnosis sounds as though it might be.He has given DH strict instructions to take me to hospital if I don't start to feel better soon. So there you are. Thankyou for all your kind wishes. Please pray that I will soon pick up as I don't want to go to hospital.

We seem to have had a bit of a time of it. Last Friday whilst still at my son's we were about to go and get Sam from after school club and then onto collect \Harry from another venue. The car was as dead as a dodo. DH had to go on foot and I then had to move between car and house keeping an eye on Sam and the car that had to run for an half an hour after a flat battery was diagnosed, DH had to go and get Harry which was a long walk away. My fault as left reading light on and car had not been moved since the Monday when we arrived. So I don't suppose the cold did me much good.
We got home to a cold house. The next day the boiler played up. Man came to look at it - no problem to be found. Yesterday I went to pull the light down that is over the table and it broke fortunately I caught it. Need new light. Got up this morning - radiators cold. Boiler not working! Man came out and had to replace sensors. So hope next week better. But at least we have not been flooded like some poor folk- and of course so sorry for family of lady found dead in her flooded home.
Haven't meant to depress anyone - hope you all have a good weekend - if I feel better I will try and make some cards as need to take it easy. Lv Anne x

  4. Hi Anne, if it's pneumonia then don't hang about. I was desperately ill a few years ago with pneumonia - made worse by the time lost before it was diagnosed and it was no fun. Fingers crossed! Di xx
