'Hi honey I'm home' & WOYWW 160

Hi everyone I have missed you all. So where have I been? More of that later as I'd better show you my desk first as I know some ladies haven't time to go through a long post ( and I don't want Julie to tell me off :-)
So here we go

The lefthand side - a collection of ll sorts- I am teaching my first ever cardmaking workshop on Saturday morning and so I have been trying to finish prepping for that plus I needed a card for my great niece and I don't feel very well either so I seemed to go from one thing to another.

The right hand side more of the same jumble - trying out all different bits and pieces for my niece's birthday.

My desk had also spread out to the landing and then the dining table downstairs. Think I am ready for Saturday just hope I feel better. If you wonder why I'm showing you my desk then pop over to Julie's (see button at bottom) to find out more.

So if you are still with me where have I been? What have I been up to? Why absent for so long? Well it started with a holiday in Cornwall - we were very lucky with the weather and managed to get a little sunburned one day. We stayed in a converted barn - beautiful near Bude. We were meant to go last year as it is where we spent our Honeymoon and last year was our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We have promised ourselves a trip abroad as well when we can get organised and find somewhere we would like to go. On our way back we stopped in Somerset to see my mum for a few days. Then after three days at home ( which were hectic) it was up to Leeds for my grandson Harry's 7th Birthday.
In between times I was finishing off some sugarcraft items, making Moshie monsters for Harry's cake ( my DIL made and covered it) and getting ready for Saturday - oh and looked after Ella two of those afternoons. This week so far we had Ella Mon and Tues pm and today I've been pepping for Sat as I said before and teling myself I don't feel poorly!!!!
If you're still with me here are a few photos

Harry opening a present an Sam trying to be patient.

Harry and friends waiting to go into Laser Quest game.

The cake!!!!!

The sugar orchids I finally finished - hope no experts viewing!!

Oooooops - sorry it's the wrong way round.
Was going to put some holiday ones on but think they will keep for another day.

Thanks for looking. x

  3. Oh no! Having a ton to do and feeling to boot is no fun at all. I hope you get to feeling better so your first ever craft class goes well. All that prep work may seem overkill but it will be so worth it when the class goes smoothly.
